Frer positive last night, negative this morning

Just wondering if someone can give me their opinion or if this has happened to them?

I took a frer last night on a whim (2 days before period due and had so far managed to resist the urge to POAS!!) and it came up with a faint line after 2 minutes!

Decided to do another frer this morning and to me it looks negative (well, I can convince myself I see something in the right light, I think that's me seeing what I want to see)

No pregnancy symptoms so far to speak of. I'm resisting the urge to POAS again for a couple of days (period is due tomorrow but only on the second month of tracking, they have never been very regular) but has this happened to anyone else?

I'm not sure to be honest but would you not buy one of the tests with the words instead of the lines. I find it much clearer to be told "pregnant" or "not pregnant"

I've used digital tests before but I've read they're not as sensitive as the frer tests, much easier to read though!!

The last digital I used was a clear blue and it ended up being faulty as no result came up whatsoever. And they're so expensive too! Sad

I don't think you can get false positives, but I think you're doing the right thing - sit tight & try another FRER with FMU. Good luck!

Thanks @LastOneDancing I'll need to practise some restraint! Grin

Well I was rubbish at showing restraint, just did another frer now and there seems to definitely be a line!!!

Thanks everyone Smile keeping my fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!

Second baby for us, DD is nearly 4. Whenever we've brought up the topic of whether she would like a brother or sister, I get told she would only accept a little sister called Emily or Charlotte, and boys are not allowed!! Me and DP won't be quite so fussy on the sex Grin

Congratulations, False negatives can happen but false positives don't!

thefutureisfemale · 09/07/2017 18:09

Wow! Congratulations! My tests were the same and I'm 28 weeks!

Congratulations! Wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy ❤😭
