Hi please can someone help
I had sex with man A on the 8th, 9th and 14th of April and I had sex with man B on the 22st April (the day my period was due to start). On the 23nd April I had pregnancy symptoms (stomach cramps but no period) I found out I was pregnant on the 29th. My dating scan on the 17th June put me at 12 weeks and 1 day meaning ovulation occurred 2 weeks after my LMP (24th March) around the 10th-11th right?

Is it possible that Man B could be the father of the baby?

Highly unlikely. Did you want him to be??

MouseLove · 07/07/2017 19:16

Should have said. Unlikely but not impossible

MotherofBoy · 07/07/2017 19:21

Very unlikely man b. Unless you have weird cycles and ovulated v lye I'd say not

JessJessPrincessJess · 07/07/2017 19:21

No, I want it to be guy A. I didn't even think about it until now because the scan dates say I basically ovulated too early for it to be guy B

If you got a positive pregnancy test on the 29th - it would be highly unlikely that you
Could get a positive within 8 days (it is possible) but it would also mean you ovulated on day 29 of your cycle which is also unlikely (the other date puts you at about day 16/17 of ovulation- which is about right).

So these 2 unlikely combos make it even more unlikely. I would say with most certainty it is man A.

My cycles are 29 days like clockwork, how likely is it that they were that far off this one month?

Man A definitely. If you slept with man B the day you were due to get period it's very unlikely

It's really unlikely to be man b but the only way you will know for sure - and perhaps find comfort yourself - is through a DNA test once the baby is here. I know you want answers now but I'm not sure anyone here can give you an absolute assurance on who the father is. I'm sorry but whilst it's unlikely to be man b it's probably not impossible - few things are when it comes to conception - so the only way to know for sure is through testing.
