Such a random question, but my period is 3 days late and my dog is so clingy he won't let me out of his sight - he's literally at my feet whilst I'm writing this and won't let me pee without his company hahah. I tested yesterday (too early probably) and it was negative, but I tested in the afternoon too so probably stupid on both counts hahaha

I don't have a dog, but if you are 3 days late then I don't think a test done yesterday would have been too early.

Defiantly, when my sister was pregnant my dog would lie on her tummy and was very protective, my closest friend was also pregnant recently and my dog did the exact same thing and was very early on (4weeks) they know that's for sure! Hope you get the results you hope for!

Thanks both. I am very confused as FF says I'm about 8DPO but my period was due on Tuesday apparently....

My usually anti social cat was like a totally different animal when I conceived. animals can tell about these things!

I've never been pregnant (I'm new to ttc) but I did hear somewhere that dogs can hear the extra heartbeat and therefore they know there's a baby in there. But I don't know how true that is.

When my sister was pregnant her bitch would air hump uncontrollably! She stopped once the baby was born. Something to do with pheromones I believe.

thanks, I may re-test in a few days

I don't recall a difference when in dog behaviour when I was pregnant before I knew I was pregnant.

But I have a photo of my dogs being super clingy and loving when I was in the early stages of labour.

My cat did, suddenly very cligy, followed me from room to room, always wanted petted and slept curled into my stomach. Was what made me do a test in the first place!

iwishiwasrichandthin · 07/07/2017 20:54

My cat did with my first sat on me and totally refused to move. It was very out of character for her. I think she knew before I did!

It's 2 weeks until my due date. My dogs haven't left me alone for months. Literally followed me everywhere, sleep on my bedroom floor, growls whenever someone comes too close to me. It's crazy but so clever.
