I have this strange feeling that I may be pregnant - even though it's way too early to test - just because I am experiencing the same set of symptoms I did last time at the same point.
Could just be a coincidence but it's actually made me quite worried because in the last week I have basically done EVERYTHING you're not supposed to if you're pregnant.
Has anyone else done the same? I'm worried that if by some strange turn of events my weird feeling is correct, I may have caused problems already - my other pregnancy ended in a MMC....

If it is too early to test how would those things be harmful?

whyhastherumgone · 07/07/2017 08:19

I don't know Paninotogo it's probably really stupid but because I had a MMC before, I'm very scared of it happening again as it was such a traumatic experience.
I guess you're right and there's no way it could be, I think it's because it wasn't just a couple of drinks, I've been on holiday and been drinking every day etc etc

I think you'll be fine Hun. If it's too early to test then it's too early to effect anything at this stage. However, if you are TTC then it might be noting to NOT do all the naughty things next cycle if you are not pregnant already. I'm picturing you eating continental meats, in a hot tub, glass of champagne and a line of hard drugs btw... 😂😇

Good luck. X

I was very drunk a week before I found out. BlushWink now 20+2 with a very healthy baby girl.

Hope you get your BFP and all goes well.

kel1234 · 07/07/2017 09:08

Try not to worry. I'm sure you will be fine. I was pregnant for over 3 weeks before I actually found out, and my baby was absolutely fine. (I drunk during my pregnancy as well).
My mum smoked and drank through all 3 of hers and we were all fine as well.

Thanks all - Mouse you really made me laugh, pretty much all that minus the hard drugs so really I'm practically a saint.
Good tip - from now on I'll behave Grin. I wasn't actively trying this month, and thought I was out of my window, but actually realised my app hadn't updated [it's usually bang on and lined up with tests, as I've been tracking the last few months to see if it's gone back to normal] and I'd actually DTD two days before ovulation before going away for a week and being extra extravagant and decadent Grin - it was only that I have these weird symptoms again that made me think of it!

Thanks jms and kel you've made me feel better!

I conceived on my 40th birthday and spent the following week or so celebrating copiously with alcohol and a few class As (if anyone feels like being judgey, it was a big birthday, and the first time I'd had them in years, also the last time thanks to DD). 2yo DD is completely, ridiculously fine, brighter than average in fact and I had a straightforward pregnancy.

I'd had a mmc the year before as well, but I do think that stressing out about things like this at a point when it's too early to even test are more likely to stop you getting pregnant than any amount of hot tub usage.

whyhastherumgone · 07/07/2017 09:47

Thanks Ancient and very good point about stressing. I have calmed down considerably now - I'm probably not even pregnant at all! At least you went out with a bang for your last big birthday celebration in a while ;)

As the above. I celebrated my birthday 4 days in advance and carried on through my birthday. There was a night involving lots of cocktails and some of the other stuff however DS turned out perfect. He's a beautiful and clever child. I was convinced right up till the 12 week scan I was imagining being pregnant. I refused to test on the day of my birthday (I wasn't late just knew). It'll be fine!
