Hello Everyone,

Just looking for some advice please. We have just started actively trying to conceive DC2. I have been using the ovulation testing kit for the first time for the last week or so and have been anxiously waiting for a smiley face to appear. Today I got a solid smiley face (not flashing) so I am just wondering when we need to DTD to have a chance of getting pregnant this cycle and how long we have before I am not at Peak fertile?

I am finding the testing kits overwhelming and it is making me stress out a little which I am trying not to do as that probably won't help.

When we got pregnant with DC1 we weren't really actively trying and just waited to see what happened but this time we are conscious of the age gap for our DD and another baby.

Thanks in advance :)

Hello MrsKitty. I'm using the CB dual hormone, firt time this month. NOW is the simple answer. Dtd when flashing as this is pre ovulation window and the sperm survive upto 5 days. Solid smiley means ovulation is imminent (12-24) hours and you want to have the swimmers waiting inside you and ready for the egg which will die off in 12-24 hours if not fertilised. Good luck!
