TTC but hadn't had a period for six months so went to see my GP. I was put on Metformin and the following day my period started! That was back in April and it hasn't let off since! It ranges from spotting to normal and there may be a day where it breaks every now and then but for the most part I am constantly bleeding Sad

Went to see GP who had no answers, went to fertility clinic who are equally dumbfounded and have suggested I go back on the pill to try to regulate my cycle Sad and to wait for my gynae appointment as they may have some insight but until the I have to play the waiting game.

Anyone else experienced this on Metformin??

Hey

Im under investigation for my no show and then late periods. Went to the drs last week had a blood test, the results showed high testosterone and high free androgen index (no idea what that is). And going to discuss next steps next weeks. They did say last week that if anything shows up they will do a scan. Have you had a scan or blood test or did they just put u straight onto the pill.

Maybe ask if u can reduce your tabley to half. When i had the implant I had constant periods as the hormones in it as too strong for me. Maybe its too much hormones which is stopping your period from ending.
