Couldn't see a recent thread for this so here we are!

Three mc in a year, two 10 Week mmc last one in March was twins, before that December, both ERPC as they were sticking about, and 6 week natural mc last August. Was sent to the RMC at st. George's, in June. Was a cold, hard to understand and dismissive appt. where I had an undignified internal swab, no empathy and was very sad, was alone due to childcare issues.

Had blood tests today on cd 4, and due internal scan this week.

Have ds1 who is 21 months but was 3 weeks early and hypothyroid which only kicked in postpartum, quite common I think.

So who is is going through the RMC process and how are you finding it?

Hi - sorry to hear about your losses, and that you didn't find the RMC supportive or empathetic. That must have been a horrible experience.

Nice to have someone to chat to because I'm at the beginning of the RMC process and very anxious (I haven't been handling the third loss well). I've been trying for a first baby for a year now and had a miscarriage at five weeks in February, another in April and then another one at seven weeks about three weeks ago. All three ended naturally in the end (the most recent one was discovered as a mmc but passed while I was waiting for follow-up). I have my first appointment with a consultant (it's in the gynecology outpatient of my local hospital, so not an RMC) next week (I was very surprised when the appointment came through so quickly). Have very little idea what to expect, and trying to keep my hopes low - I keep wishing that they'll find something and then 'cure' me, but I know it very rarely works like that.

Lisa so sorry you are going through this too!

Rmc first appt was an internal and him saying what tests they would do but didn't understand and was very rushed... bloods on day 2-5 when I can get them done but results in several weeksConfusedI don't know what I want as I have hashimotos hypothyroidism and am worried that is the cause plus I am overweight.....

Are you being treated for the hypothyroidism? Hope you're doing ok - it's all a horrible experience, isn't it?

Have you thought about going private (if it's an option for you)? We've considered it, but since my appointment came through so quickly thought we'd see what comes of that first.
