Hi all. I'm feeling really disheartened today. I'm due on I think tomorrow or weds (cycles usually around 34-36 days) and I did 2 tests yday that both had really faint lines (asda ones)
Just done it again today and the same again. I'm really not convinced it's not an evap line.
I'd you got a result looking like this did it end well, and how long is okay to see it like this for?
I've was awake from 3.30am for 2 hours feeling very sick and apprehensive. Don't know what to do!
Thanks

This picture is from the ASDA test I used on the day my period was due (14dpo) and as you can see it was super faint. It didn't start darkening until 2 or 3 days after my period was due. Stay positive!!

My first one on the day of my missed period was so faint I thought it was negative. It was only when I got a bfp later that I fished it out to check and there was a line that I didn't see. I did another one 3 days later and it was much darker. Fingers crossed for you x

Well you can't argue with that. Congratulations, lovely news.

Thanks so much. This is first month of trying so feeling Incredibly lucky, especially as I was told I would never conceive without fertility treatment a couple of years back. I just hope it all works out okay :-)

Just to update in case people are searching for answers like I was, these lines continued to stay faint despite the clearblue digital tests getting stronger 1-2 // 2-3 // 3+.
After 3 days of the 3+ I got another 1-2 (but still faint lines on normal tests oddly). I managed to get a scan at epu and it looks like this was an ectopic. I've bled a lot so my body is naturally getting rid of it, but something just didn't feel right from the off with this one. With ds I had a clear line from the start.
Very sad x

Got faint lines for a while, and unfortunately I had a miscarriage. Im so sorry OP

I'm so sorry. I never comment on these threads because I don't want to be some harbinger of doom, but I do think that, much as many people deny it, pregnancy tests do give you some idea of what's going on and continuing faint tests are a bad sign. I've had three early miscarriages: first two at five weeks and exactly the same thing each time - faint test that got darker, but only a little, for a few days and then started to fade (and that's when the bleeding started). The third one the tests darkened up nicely for a week and then stayed exactly the same (and the digi kept coming back as 2-3) - turns out it was a missed miscarriage where a scan at seven weeks showed it hadn't developed beyond five weeks.

Again, I'm so sorry and I so hope that you have your successful pregnancy really soon.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 15/07/2017 18:16

Argh, have just re-read this thread and seen that the initial question was about lines not getting darker over a day, and in that context how alarming/upsetting my post could be. That's completely normal and I don't think it's a sign that all will end badly! It's the much longer trend that I think can be a bad sign.
