I am just about to start cycle 2 but I am so worried about being pregnant being 4 stone overweight.

Is anyone feeling the same. I really can't put anymore weight on

I'm overweight and ttc, hello!

I'm about four stone overweight and pregnant. I've actually put two on in the last year, which I'm really annoyed about. But here we are. I'm trying to make consciously healthy choices with food, but I also know I usually put on at least 3 stone when pregnant. This is my third one and I really don't want to put that amount on again! But I have to say, I lost everything I put on last time - and more - while breastfeeding and sticking to 2000 calories a day. I can breastfeed this one till he/she is going to school, right?!
Try not to worry about it too much, if you're otherwise fit and healthy you'll be fine.

I TTC while overweight. Got pregnant the first month. I made sure I tracked my ovulation and used sperm friendly lube (like pre-seed).

I was 4 stone over weight when I fell pregnant with DS who is now almost 3 and I put on a few stone whilst pregnant and they dropped off easy and went back to my 4stone overweight pre-pregnancy weight.
I'm 12 weeks pregnant at the mo and am 4 stone overweight again.
It's not ideal, but it's ok!

I'll add, I'm 22 weeks and I've put on 5 lbs since I found out I was pregnant, and mostly in the first trimester. I've just been too ill to eat much, and I think cutting out wine has helped regulate my weight. As well as increasing my water intake.

I have a dd who is nearly 3 I was 3 stone lighter when I gave birth to her and the whole pregnant and birth was straight forward and as good as could be.

I'm worried about my weight causing a problem pregnancy/birth. Can spd be caused by weight.

I would try to eat healthy and still go out walking and stuff. I was going to put it off till I've lost weight but I've been saying that for years now so I think I just need to accept I'm overweight and keep ttc

Glitteryfluff- If that happened to me I'd be really please my main goal would be to eat healthy and when the baby comes out in the same weight as before or 4 stone overweight and no more.

Hi thought I would answer even though I've graduated! First baby due 4th October.

I was working to lose a bit of weight ( am very very overweight) but baby had other ideas and I 'fell' 2nd proper cycle in!

I assumed I would struggle to conceive due to my weight mainly and being on BC for many years and tbh everyone says so but obviously sometimes it works otherwise! Booking in weight was 110.2. not gonna lie I'm suffering with pelvis pain and everyone looks at me for gestational diabetes. So far I have been put on aspirin as a just in case but that's it. Hoping to avoid gd! But my dad has diabetes so I may be screwed!

I am making good choices most of the time, I'm not actually dieting as it's a no-no but just making sure I'm not mindlessly eating crap they seemed happy with gain so far.

What I'm trying to say after that essay that you can plan but life may have other ideas!

Maybe try loosing the weight before tcc. Is much healthier for you and baby. Baby's health should be enough to motivate you.

I've been losing weight while ttc. Nothing drastic, but I've lost a stone in the last two months. Using weight watchers.

I kept putting off dieting 'if I get pregnant this month' but I've been ttc for about 16 months now so decided to bite the bullet in case that would help.

I was overweight when I conceived DD. Idk how many stone but BMI of 32.

Conception was easier than anticipated (really it's the luck of the draw, I imagined that it'd be very difficult given my weight + age + the fact it was my first pregnancy so I feel very lucky).

Pregnancy was a breeze aside from the usual pregnancy things (categorised low risk, very normal throughout).

Birth was a bit of a kicker (EMCS) and there is part of me that thinks that could be down to my weight (but I guess I'll never really know).
