Is it normal to cramp during tww? I did last month and I wasn't pregnant. I am now but it's too early to be a pregnancy symptom. Why does the body cramp? I don't remember this from biology lessons!

I always get twingy.... mostly did not notice it before ttc.

Cramping can happen for a HUGE variety of reasons. Hormonal changes, muscle use, anaerobic respiration, change in blood flow/ supply... etc... etc....

I seem to get intermittent cramps for about a week before AF arrives, together with other twinges and aches. Strangely don't really get painwhile I'm actually bleeding, just a few hours of strong cramps on day 1 then nothing. I was on the pill for 16 years before stopping to TTC so I've got no idea if this was normal for me before. I get every symptom going in the TWW, I don't think it's my imagination, I just think my body likes to make it very clear that AF is on its way! Just goes to show that everyone's different I suppose.
