Bfn but lh surge picked up opk picture included

Cd 41 BFN sore boobs ( they kill ) cycles are usually 32-33 unsure when I ov as didn't track, but day 21 bloods came back as no ovulation. I'm confused with this opk I've just taken, I know they pick up lh surge all time but I only get these leading up to ovulation, sometimes there isn't even a line. Could this be picking up hcg before my hpt is ?

I would say you are probably about to ovulate. The opks are less sensitive than hpts.

I sometimes get a line on an OPK just before I get a period, even though I get no second line at all between ovulation and a period.
