I was on the mini pill and because I was going travelling with different time zones, my doctor recommended the injection early in March for 3 months and I am now waiting for my period to return... how long does this take as I am wanting to try for a second baby (have an 11 month old).... Can you still get pregnant without your period returning ? (I have had very very slight bleeding for a couple of days..)

Were you given depo provera by the doc?. I ask this as some women have had problems with their periods after being given this.

yes you can still get pg without your period returning, as you will ovulate before you have your first AF - though this will cause some problems with dating! . It can take a while (several months) for the Depo Provera to completely exit your system and for you to get your period back. Best of luck.

Hi again, I'm not sure whether I was given depo provera - should I call my doctor to find out? I was on Micronor mini pill before hand so I can only assume that the injection was consistent with this...

Thanks for your advice..
