Positive First Response but 5th day still bleeding!

So I started spotting on Friday 13 dpo but I wasn't at home so I couldn't test. On Saturday it continues the same just spotting. Sunday I get a very faint test positive on a cheap eBay strip. Monday the same. All the time still spotting. This morning is Tuesday I've taken a first response which has a stronger line but now I'm bleeding heavier. I'm thinking realisticly that this could be an early miscarriage but I'm at the doctors in the morning. I've been googling like mad and can't find anything similar so I'm putting this out there and I'll update with the out come. If anyone has had similar experience also and the outcome? I can't imagine going on with a healthy pregnancy after this.

I haven't had any experience I just wanted to say I hope everything goes well for you at the doctors today Flowers

Let us know how you get on x

Aww thank you. I will. I've noticed so many posts without the outcome so just wanted to put it out there for other frantic Googlers. No idea how many women have a healthy pregnancy after a bleed like this.

I don't know either. I do know one of my friends who got pregnant while on the cool (which is crazy odds) and was bleeding a LOT, she is now due in September with a healthy baby!

So I don't know the stats or the medicine but it can happen and hopefully it will for you Smile

Sorry for the worry you're having Positive. I had bleeding in early pregnancy (unfortunately my outcome wasn't good). I was told by a doctor at the time that about 50 per cent of women with bleeding in early pregnancy have a healthy pregnancy.

I know it's not great news, and unfortunately there's no way to know right now what is going to happen. But if you're bleeding and having positive tests, you could ask for blood tests to check HCG levels.

Hi guys sorry for the delayed reply.

The bleeding stopped and yesterday I woke up and just had a feeling the it was all over so I tested and it was negative.

The doctor advice was to wait until after bleeding to test as early miscarriage is very common but I also could have miscarried only one egg. Alas this has not been the case.

I'm back at the doctor in a week to see what the next move is. It probably common also to wonder if it's coz of anything you did wrong. Who knows. Thanks for messages! X
