TTC post miscarriage

So around 5 weeks ago I started to miscarry at what should have been 7wks. It lasted around 4 weeks in all with the bleeding/spotting. Pretty much a day or 2 after it stopped, DH and I dtd which was last Monday.

It's just occurred to me though that I have no idea when to expect another period. Would it be around 4 weeks after I stopped bleeding, or a couple or maybe longer? My periods were very regular prior to MC - usually only a day out, if that.

Also, would it be ridiculous to do a test 2 weeks after we DTD? Or should I wait longer?

So desperate to get back into TTC again properly!

I know the feeling of being desperate to start ttc again. Sorry you have gone through all this.

I miscarried in Feb at 8 weeks and my first period arrived 32 days after the mc bleeding started. Some women's cycles return to normal straight after and some women's take a bit more time.

I was told to give it up until 6 weeks for a period to arrive, if not to go to my gp. Luckily mines arrived just over a month later but I'm not irregular.

I would just wait and see if your period turns up or if you start to develop pregnancy symptoms. Do you track ovulation? I ovulated 16 days after my miscarriage.

Kind of, I base it on CM mostly. I'm not sure what to expect, I've not had any symptoms of anything really. Just waiting now I guess, which I am very poor at!!

The waiting game sucks! Hopefully you get your period soon or even better a bfp!

Maybe do a pregnancy test now if you have not had a negative since miscarriage. Otherwise you might doubt if a positive is a new positive. Good luck.

I had a negative last week. I may do another this time next week as it will have then been nearly 3 weeks since we dtd. Am hoping dh recovers soon so we can get on with it, so to speak!

AF arrived last night. Was light to begin with, today has turned heavy and v.painful - worse than when I miscarried, bizarrely. How I wish I could just curl up on the sofa at home!

At least now I know my body is trying to get into a rhythm. Just wasn't expecting it so soon.
