2 diff results with ASDA pregnancy test?

I took an asda pregnancy test a few days ago as my period was late and I was worried that my seemingly bout of sickness could be a symptom and I got a very faint line. It was really faint but was clear enough to show my friend through a camera, she said it wasn't strong enough so I tried not to think about it but when I was ill again today (and looking online to see that a faint line is still a line) I took the other test to be sure and there was no visible line. They were both taken early afternoon and most probably I'd only be 3-4 weeks pregnant. Should I just regard this as negative or try a different brand? I'm also planning on going to the doctors as either way I'm not a fan of being consistently sick but would like to rule it out (so to speak) to stop myself overthinking.

You need to test first thing in the morning as this is when the hormones levels are highest.

It is possible to get a false negative but very unlikely to get a false positive.

Could the line from the first one have been an Evap line? Got a pic?

Urine too dilute on second test likely. .

I no longer have the picture because I was obsessing over looking at it but it was identical to the other line and where it would be expected to be seen and doesn't look like the evap lines on tests I've taken previously which is why I initially assumed it was positive

It sounds like you are pregnant. Buy another test and test first thing in the morning.

Ive just had exactly the same but with 2 superdrug tests. First one on Thurs afternoon came up with 2 faint lines and one on Friday afternoon came up with a strong purple single line. Not sure what to do next xx

I'm getting so stressed as I can't get in to see the doctor any time soon and this is obviously something I need to address and i don't want to keep wasting money 😬

I rang doctors Fri morn to ask if I could see midwife when they are in on Tues but receptionist told me she was fully booked but the doctor could asses me. I then took the second test later which came up as negative. Not sure how to add pics so can't show the differences. I'm guessing he will just tell me to go home and do another test xx

When was your period due? You need to test with first wee of the morning if it was due recently. The tests at the dr are exactly the same as the cheap Amazon ones and all the tests on the market work in the same way. So it does not matter which test you do a home one or one at a doctors surgery it will need to be the first wee of the morning.

There is no need to go to the dr unless you are becoming dehydrated with sicknesses or you are on medication which you need to discuss with the dr in light of potential pregnancy.
