Giving blood in tww??

Has anyone ever given blood while TTC?

I'm booked in for my first blood donation on the 23rd June but have realised I'll be one week into the tww?

I really want to give blood but also don't want to potentially affect a cycle. But then I think there is always July? Just a bit torn?

Anyone with advice or experience of donating whilst TTC I would be grateful to hear from you. TIA x x

A tricky one... You can't give blood when you're pregnant and even if you're not + fit and healthy, women can only donate every 16 weeks. It's clearly quite a shock to the system. I reckon you could go ahead but perhaps not expect too much that cycle and the donation date would be just at the time of potential implantation.

Thanks for your reply jojo I think I'll go ahead and just not expect too much that cycle.

I know I could cancel but I really don't want to mess them around as I'll probably not get lucky anyhow, and if I cancelled and AF arrives I'll be annoyed with myself.

I didn't change anything in the 2ww. That included giving blood and getting drunk (obviously not at the same time!)
