Nexplanon removal issues - help!

first time posting for a long while.

I'm lucky to have a 13 & 10 yo, didn't think I wanted a third but have decided to go for it this year. Had the first two at 19-21 and have had a nexplanon implant for 5 years. Was lucky and had no periods from very early on even on my second implant.

I had it removed at the end of April and had what I now think was a breakthrough period early in May, thought great I'll be getting into a regular cycle 🤞
Then I started again last week completely normal at first but now it let really feels like I'm haemorrhaging, I'm started with pads (night time jumbo style) but they were full after even an hour and leaking 😬 So I started using tampons with a pad as well but by two hours it had come through the tampon onto the pad. I feel like I spending all my time in the loo.

When I had it removed the nurse didn't mention a side effect like this. My friends think it's because I didn't have a period for so many years it's all stored up Hmm

I've got a phone consultation with the GP tomorrow but thought you lovely mumsnetters might have some answers. I'm really worried as it doesn't seem to be lightening either... help!

That doesn't sound quite right me definitely speak to the dr for advice.

Maybe it is just a heavy period after all this time or the implant has masked what your normal periods could be like, but either way still sounds like a large amount. I hope you get some answers or at least it starts to lighten up soon.

Good luck x x
