Irregular Cycles and TTC

Hey All. Looking for some advice. We been TTC no#2 for months now. My cycles are so irregular. Today is day 43 (have tested - not pregnant), last cycle was 35 days and I've had a 32, 41 and 36 over the last few months. I'm losing all hope of having a second child and wondering if a doctor could prescribe me anything to help regulate my periods? I've had a scan for suspected PCOS but not enough cysts for them to diagnose. Would appreciate any advice x

My cycles were a little unsteady, generally between 31 - 35 days but twice since TTC last June they were 44 ish days. January was a long wait until mid March and I was convinced this was finally positive test territory but then AF showed up. I was devastated and cried my heart out.

I used Clearblue Dual Ovulation tests periodically and they did say I was ovulating around day 17 most of the time so I knew when to target our time(!)

Anyway, after 6 years in total TTC, I am 12 + 2 days pregnant! I do recommend the CB tests, I got quite a few months out of a box as I only tested close to the general middle of my cycle. Sending you any dust x

Also, to point out that I did get a negative test when I was on day 40 something but my mentality was always "the game isn't over until AF is here" so that's how I tried to look at things. Although I was in bits some months, others I tried to look at it as "well here's a fresh month to get this job done!"

(am I sounding crazy?!) x

Have you had any hormonal tests? PCOS is a metabolic/hormonal issue so diagnosis can't rely solely on counting follicles. By the way, how many follicles did you have? And what sizes were they?

Have you had any blood tests? When my cycles were irregular ttc dd, it turned out to be hypothyroidism, and my cycles sorted themselves out once I started on levothyroxine. Good luck!
