Are Tesco tests prone to evaps?

I just took one in Tesco toilet (classy 🙊) so it wasn't FMU by any means. I've only used these new blue ones once before when it was a genuine BFP with DS2. I used the test and thought I saw a line but then it seemed to disappear, so I took the test apart and could see a squinter. It's now dried and there is a line but it looks like it could be an evap 😬

I think if you take the test apart it can cause a line to appear.

As it's still such early days I'd be testing again in a couple of days. I also had a super squinter this morning so will be buying a frer and testing again Monday with fmu. Hope we both get our nice clear bfp's soon!

Looks like an evap. Don't take test apart and read within time frame.

I shall know soon enough as AF due around Tuesday/Wed

I've never had a true evap so I'll update once I know 👍

Fuck it, I just took the second one and a pretty clear blue line has come up. I guess I now just have to sit and wait and see if AF turns up 😬😬

Ah yay congratulations! I doubt af will turn up if it's a clear bfp Smile obviously there are exceptions but fingers crossed!

Thanks envy 😁

This is the second one and even DP can't deny there's a line.

That def looks like a positive!

And I think taking a test apart doesn't alter the results

SleepFreeZone · 03/06/2017 20:43

To be honest I be taken lots of tests apart in my time and the fuckers rarely gave me a hint of a line if I wasn't pregnant. No matter how much I held them up to the light. This would be DC3, I've had three miscarriages in between the kids and an OLD. So I expecting to miscarry but you just never know 💐

Ah that's a lovely clear line! Sorry to hear about your losses. I understand you're cautious but I have everything crossed for you that this little bean will be a sticky one x
