Does anyone on here use the older version of the fertility monitor please? I have a question...

LimpLettice · 30/08/2017 10:49

Sorry Greggs, I'm using the advanced sticks.

I hope so McTufty, I really have gone off the boil with it this month, just feeling too negative. Flashing smiley this morning so a busy few days ahead, but I just don't have the good feeling I did before.

What started as tea and cake for a few seems to have turned into afternoon tea for about 40 people in late September. All in my little cottage.

DF had surgery to remove tumour yesterday. Now it is a waiting game on the biopsy and chemo. Still hopeful things are early enough. Thank you for asking.

I am so sorry LP is still so short. I have read good things about acupuncture, and it is good to know clomid will be an option but it must be disheartening. How many cycles are you off BCP now? I do know it takes somepeople 6/8 months. Hope this one is better.

McTufty · 31/08/2017 22:50

greggs really sorry, I don't have the monitor, I have the sticks!

limplettuce afternoon tea in a cottage sounds amazing! Hopefully it will be a double celebration... sorry you're not feeling positive, not surprising given your DF's illness, I hope he's recovering ok from the surgery.

I too am on flashing smiley duty! Came on day 11 which is great, it was cd14 last cycle so hopefully O will be sooner than cd21 and I'll get a bit more luteal phase, we shall see. Knowing my luck I'll just get 12 days of flashing smiley!!!

McTufty · 31/08/2017 22:56

Oh and I'm 3-4 months off birth control so not long term panic stations just yet but I'm desperately hoping to see improvement soon...!

LimpLettice · 08/09/2017 07:20

Did you get your static, McTufty? Mine was Thursday in the end, judging by the last few months I'm 6/7dpo today.

Huge sore chesticles again but I'm starting to see the pattern of LP now. Tonnes of yellowy CM again this month, which only happened bfp month, but no other symptoms. Another busy weekend to take my mind if it though which is good. Last chance before the big 40 for me, which I so wanted. Otoh at least if it's a bfn I'll be able to have a blow out.

Cherylttcagain · 08/09/2017 07:58

Good luck to you both this month :)

Im glad you have something lined up incase of a bfn Limp!

LinzLinz · 08/09/2017 08:49

Good luck to you both 🤞🏼 I will keep everything crossed for you x

LimpLettice · 08/09/2017 13:33

Thank you ladies.

I am absolutely hating ttc this time round. Sure I'm not the only one but sometimes I wonder if it is even worth putting myself through it. It has only been a few months and I already feel so stressed at the thought of another week wait, more possible CPs, intervention, being past it at 40, etc. Prone to catastophising obviously but it just feels gloomy, and I am sure the stress probably won't help. Also seem to have ruined a good friendship with baby envy - I have been outwardly nice and lovely and supportive but things have dwindled as I just cannot stop the bitterness I feel, even if I don;t express it. Especially as I am now confronted by a hugely growing twin bump a metre away 5 days a week. Gah.

McTufty · 13/09/2017 08:56

Hi ladies - any news limp, you must be due to test soon?

I also hate TTC. It makes me second guess and resent my body and gives me fear for the future.

I got my static on day NINE!! I'm 6dpo at the moment and desperately hoping AF doesn't arrive, I'll let you know!

LimpLettice · 13/09/2017 12:38

Period this morning, 2 days early this cycle. Painful too to add insult to injury. I'm so low and fed up with it all now, I really don't know what to do with myself. LP only about 10 days which is worrying. Another wasted month of getting older. Last cycle before the big 40.

6dpo though. I have everything crossed for you this month McTufty. Hope like hell af keeps away. I know what you mean. I feel like my stupid body is letting me down somehow. It's only been 5 months, I've no idea how those trying for years hold on to their sanity.

McTufty · 13/09/2017 14:05

Oh @limplettuce I am so sorry Sad. That's such a shame. A 10 day luteal phase is adequate so don't worry about that (I have 7 days so have done much research on this, it's only single figures where it is likely to affect conception). I also don't know how people keep sane over a period of years, hopefully it won't come to that for us!

I hope you have a wonderful 40th, and get absolutely smashed. I know that's not what you wanted but a small silver lining Flowers

No AF yet, having mild twinges and cramps and terrified every time I go to the toilet but she's not here yet.

LimpLettice · 13/09/2017 15:10

It won't for me as I'll have to give up for the sake of my mental health. A year tops, I just can't cope with the stress. The lack of being able to do anything positive to help is excruciating. Especially when I seem to be surrounded by people who appear to trip, fall on a stranger and wind up pregnant instantly. Pfft.

AF can effing do one! I hope she stays away McTufty I really do.

McTufty · 15/09/2017 22:24

Mini update: still no AF. According to FF I'm 9dpo although my chart is ambiguous so it could be more like 8dpo (possibly even 7 but I'm probably being cautious). But never got this far without spotting so even in the worst case scenario I've seen an improvement. AF will no doubt turn up overnight now I've said that!

Hope you are feeling better limplettuce and that the pregnancies are going well linzlinz and cheryl x

Cherylttcagain · 15/09/2017 23:34

Still here, holding my breath and crossing my fingers for you ladies. I'm sorry everything has just gotten you down Limp, I don't have much to offer other then internet hugs!

Mctufty, what an improvement this cycle :D. AF better not show up just because you mentioned it.... it is not welcome! I dunno how you are staying strong, I was totally peeing on stuff at 9dpo!!!

Had my scan on tues, all loomed good inc the neck fluid they check to do with Downs Syndrome. Just waiting for my blood test results to find out if we have any risks of syndromes. Waiting sucks though doesn't it! You have the 2ww then if that ends up with a bfp you have the 3 month wait then the week wait after that for tests.... anyway, I shouldn't moan. I hope this is your last 2ww Mctufty :)

McTufty · 16/09/2017 09:17

So happy it's gone well with your scan cheryl! You're so right, TTC is so stressful but then it gets even more stressful worrying about the pregnancy and then yet more stressful worrying about the baby Grin

Not POAS because I for the first time am feeling positive about my body since starting to TTC and I don't want my happiness at a better cycle to be ruined by seeing a BFN, if that makes sense!

Cherylttcagain · 16/09/2017 10:02

Yeah I do know what you mean. And in reality you'd be lucky to see anything at 9dpo, I think I was just impatient and thought oh well I know it'll be bfn this early but sod it!

LinzLinz · 16/09/2017 20:41

Keep going ladies you will get there in the end. I check back here all the time to see how you're both getting on and send so many positive vibes to you both 😊

Great news so far mctufty keeping everything crossed for you. I got a very faint positive at nine DPO so please keep us posted 😁

Great stuff with the scan Cheryl. I have my first appointment on weds when I'll be eleven weeks. All going well so far 👍🏻 keep positive ladies and let us know how you get on 😊

McTufty · 17/09/2017 10:16

Still no AF and I don't even know when she should be due - 2 or 3 days ago based on previous cycles but I was always hoping my luteal phase would lengthen and have been supplementing hard for it. I have zero symptoms except I've been having cramps, I keep touching my boobs in case they're sore but they're just not!! But I've decided to test to celebrate getting far enough along to do so Smile So I'm taking your attitude of sod it @cherylttc! Not wasting a FRER but I have 50 IC pregnancy tests in my cupboard so why not?

@linzlinz that's exciting about your appointment! 11 weeks already? I hope you're not feeling unwell and everything is going well!

McTufty · 17/09/2017 10:19

(Almost certain AF will come in the next half hour now I've said that!!!)

Cherylttcagain · 17/09/2017 11:02

This month has definitely been a good onw Mctufty, regardless of the result. You know at least that you're able to take control and get where you need to be.
My fingers are crossed for you, and if af stays away you can already test everyday, esp if you have some cheapies to use. Are you going to do a 3hr hold then test or wait until the morning?

Cherylttcagain · 17/09/2017 11:03

always not already..

McTufty · 17/09/2017 11:38

Oh yeah I forgot about the FMU thing, never done this before! So yes I'll do one in the morning, but to be honest I might do one today as well, because why not! Not really expecting to be pregnant but today for the first time I started to believe it was a genuine possibility.

Cherylttcagain · 17/09/2017 13:26

sometimes its nice to pee on something regardless lol :) scratches an itch almost!

McTufty · 17/09/2017 21:14

Well it was the biggestFN known to man!!! I have been drinking shitloads and weeing loads all day so I will do another with FMU if no AF by then but I expect it is not my month. Ah well, more reason to be hopeful for next month!

Cherylttcagain · 17/09/2017 22:05

Its still early, only thing to do it keep testing unless af shows up. Plus if you drank loads chances are your urine was too diluted. Good luck for in the morning!
