SURE I'm pregnant but BFN?! Help please.

I am 12dpo. I got a BFN using my clear blue advanced fertility monitor. I also got a BFN on a clear blue 5 days early test. I'm apparently not due till sat/sun.

HOWEVER: My boobs are absolutely killing me, and have done for around a week now. I do get sore boobs before AF, but never this sore. They feel different and heavy. Anyway, I was really shocked by the BFN on the clear blue advanced monitor as I was convinced. ALSO... The pregnancy stick from the test I stuck in the machine had TWO lines. I know they say not to read the lines. But what does this mean?! Doc said you would be getting a BFP if you are experiencing symptoms, is this true? Do I just give up? I'm going mad. Is it too early? Anyone with any experience of the Clear blue fer monitor and the preg sticks?

I've been sitting here crying for most of the day as I really thought it was my month.

Try fmu with a first response early response test?

With the fertility monitor you need it turned on and the test stick in the monitor before the pee reaches the test window otherwise it shows bfn ime.

I can't help withy hr CH monitor aspect but if it's different from a normal HPT, then have you tried one of those?

If you're not due till the weekend it's still really early days and if you're pregnant you'll still be pregnant then.

I've never had a bfp before 14 DPO and twice had BFNs at 12DPO to then get a BFP two days later. The internet is awash with people apparently getting strong positives at 8DPO but I've never met someone in real life that happened to.

I know it's shit and emotional and frustrating and exhausting and crap. The truth is that you could be pregnant and you're not out till you get your period, if it does show.

Most people would secretly admit there have been times they were absolutely sure and then af arrived, I've been there. Hormones of all kinds are a bitch. But if you have a feeling you might be right!

You can keep testing till af shows, try and only do one a day with fmu then you'll know there was nothing else you could have done.

In all 3 of my pregnancies I didn't get a BFP until after my period was due, even with fmu and super sensitive tests.

If you can bear it, leave it for a few days and just use a straightforward pee stick.

I tried a frer on sunday, bfn.

Okay, well I will wait a few days and try again. Do you know anything about the two lines and what that could mean?

Hi, I'm not really familiar with the things you were talking about. But personally I would wait a few days and do a normal test then.

I got bfn for the first 9 weeks.... The twins are playing Minecraft upstairs...

Ime when I got the two lines in the pregnancy test for the clearblue monitor I was pregnant.

The monitor actually showed a bfp before a line was properly visible I kept doing the tests for a few more days and by then the sticks showed a clear second line.

If use the monitor again make sure you collect your pee in a cup, dip the stick in the cup for the required time and turn monitor on and put the test stick in the monitor before the pee goes up into the sample window.

Hey guys,

Having an awful day today. Having cramps all day so guess af is on its way. Boobs don't hurt anymore.. did I just imagine everything?? Could it be chemical? I'm so confused and upset. My DH is away and I have no one around. On my way home from work and am crying on the tube. I feel like my stomach has been turned inside out. Anyone else been through/felt like this? Does it get better?? Xxx

Emma, I felt exactly like this my first few months. I was so convinced every single time because I had all the symptoms. Each time they turned out to be AF symptoms.
It's so cruel how AF and pregnancy symptoms are so similar! I started telling myself I'd be unlikely to have symptoms until AF was late/missed anyway, and that really helped my mental fortitude.
What I'm trying to say is, it does get better/easier...although I can't pretend that AF is less of a disappointment. But it becomes easier to stop symptom spotting.

So I tested today.. I caved. It was a late in the day watery pee (sorry tmi!). Used a FRER and got the smallest teeniest faint line...but my DH could see it!!!! Came up straightaway and is pink...Going to test again tomorrow with FU! Eek.ill keep you postedxxxx

Thanks! Did one again this morning. Still the same in terms of faintness but defo there. I also did them from different packs to make sure there wasn't a batch problem! I also tested one with water to check if the line came up with every one! It didn't! I'm mad I know! Please tell me a lines a line!! ??

Aww, so sorry to hear that. I had a similar week -very feint BFPs on FRERs on Tuesday, a clearer one on Wednesday morning, but zilch on ics, followed by BFNs on FRERS, and af yesterday 😢. It feels so unfair. After dd had taken 16 months, I was so ecstatic to get my BFP on cycle 8. However, in the spirit of PMA, at least it means the right things are still happening and will happen again 💐

Thanks girls. I can't believe it. I had all the signs and the three positives. I feel really really crushed. I'm on holiday with my husband this week and he's like cheer up come on we need to enjoy the holiday and my stomach just feels like knots.
What does this mean? Was it chemical?

Yes, I think mine was a chemical - there was no denying the pink line on Wednesday. Even when I texted DH with the photo, saying still early days, I don't think I really thought it would all disappear. I'm taking it harder than I would have thought - I think after the relief of having got there, the idea (and stress) of having to try again in two weeks time feels grim (although I will try damn hard - the 2.5 year age gap would be pretty perfect, so I can't really let myself wallow in self pity). I hope you feel better soon - it's so stupid but it really knocks you for six!

So been trying to conceive for a year now no luck .... But had light pink spotting satuesay and Sunday which has now stopped my period isn't due til Thursday ? Took a test today said negative what do u ladies think ? Thanks in advance

Curlie - did you get loads of symptoms too? I had such such sore boobs, like never before. I said to my sister I will put money on that I am pregnant. We stupidly got excited together. I also (still) have really large darkened nipples.. it's so strange. Boobs don't hurt any more though.
When I saw those pink lines, the DH and I wondered if it would be a girl or a boy... we were so naive. It would be our first baby.
Dlc- it sounds like it could be implantation bleeding. From my experience - don't take tests - please. I know it's not extremely difficult. Taking a test is not going to make you pregnant; and not taking one is not going to make you not pregnant. IMHO all early testing does is bring stress, anguish and (if you're unlucky) extreme dissapointment. I've learnt my lesson. I will be tracking my fertility and will keep trying but I'm never buying another test, unless im a week late... don't do it.
Good luck. Just wait for your period. If it comes; fine - you keep trying. If it doesn't - wait and then test a week later.

I got loads of symptoms last cycle and one bfp. Af came on time.. I assume it was a chemical. Think positive, your body tries to figure out what you want from it. Chemical is a proof that you can conceive which is great. As you might know, this is extremely common thing and nothing to worry about. Enjoy your holiday and put your mind off ttc for a while
