Confused myself. The ranges in the print out say normal is 16-28 with lowest number indicative of ov. But anything I've read online says anything under 30 says not good??

PoppyJ1 · 31/05/2017 22:01

I'm about 6dpo. Miscarried in November then again in January and took a break until last week when I got fertile signs and a positive opk. I'm not sure we dtd close enough to O day (DP had a business trip in the middle of it all) but managed a few days before. Fingers crossed and good luck to you too!

Ah man I've just realised how long this thread is and how many messages I missed. Sorry for the insensitively upbeat post xx

Aw, Cakes thanks for the support despite your change of plans. Hope things settle down at your place soon! My partner has kids from a previous relationship and it's definitely delicate bringing new people in.

User1488, I hope you get some clarity on what your bloods mean. Try not to freak out and don't take one test as gospel. I recently had a fertility specialist tell me my ovaries are small and therefore very old for my age, I cried myself to sleep (two days before my 35th birthday) and then it turned out to be rubbish. Two further scans and a blood test indicated excellent ovarian reserve. There is always a bigger picture with these things.

user1488270932 · 01/06/2017 12:17

Yes ladies totally agree! Just wish it wasn't as hard!!
Looks like I shall be buying another box of opk this month! The joys of poas!!

MrsL2016 · 01/06/2017 20:12

Welcome poppy and cheryl. I would really like to see some bfp's in this group too. This is my first post pill cycle and I am now on cd32. No idea when af is due but I have had lots of cramps and several bfn's.

doodles13 · 02/06/2017 08:17

So I'm CD24 today, which is the day that AF showed up last month. BFN for me this morning so we'll see what happens over the next couple of days Confused

Anyone else got any news?

Cakes140481 · 02/06/2017 09:29

Would be due any day and nothing so far but I did ovulate a bit so might go a bit longer this time. It's not over til AF arrives properly! I'm not going to take any more tests until I'm at least 12dpo and longer if I can stand it (yeah right!). I've taken so many in the last couple of months the novelty has kind of worn off! Dreamt I had a BFP with DAYS indicator! 😂

doodles13 · 04/06/2017 10:56

I'm 2 days on from my last post, still no AF. No symptoms of anything really! Are First Response tests more sensitive, does anyone know? I've been using the Asda ones which maybe aren't so sensitive?

PoppyJ1 · 04/06/2017 16:34

Looking good, Doodles! When are you going to test? Not sure about FR but I have always done well with Clearblue, especially the weeks indicator ones.

Am now one day late but I know I ovulated a bit late; somewhere between 8 and 11 dpo and I am crampy with mad dreams every night, boob twinges (main,y in the sides) and just had creamy cm! Fingers crossed. Think I might test on Tuesday.

doodles13 · 04/06/2017 16:44

I couldn't get FR tests so could Clearblue ones, not the digital ones though. Think I'll test tomorrow morning and see how that goes! Confused let me know how you get on Poppy!

PoppyJ1 · 04/06/2017 16:53

Any CB should be as good as FR or better, from what I understand.

Good luck! Will update you too when I have news.

doodles13 · 05/06/2017 16:52

Well I did the CB test this morning and BFN again :( still no signs of AF showing up. I'm CD27 today and my longest cycle off the pill has been 28 days (I've only had two cycles since coming off the pill though) so I'm totally confused! Maybe I'm on a longer cycle than I thought?

Has anyone had to wait for AF to be a week late (or longer) before getting a BFP? Still don't know if I'm in or out!! Hmm

Slinkery · 05/06/2017 16:57

@doodles13 when I came off my contraception in Feb 2017 (copper coil) it threw my system out and had a few months of random periods, one of which was about a week late. I was sure I would get a BFP but it ended up just being my system getting used to life without the coil. I didn't think this would happen cause copper coil isn't hormone or chemical based and Dr said it shouldn't affect me. I just think sometimes our bodies get confused. I'm back to regular now and on 4th month of TTC.

I say all this but you could still be about to get your BFP if you are a week late!! I really hope you do x

doodles13 · 05/06/2017 17:01

Yes I guess you're right, I was on the pill for so long I can't remember what length my natural cycle is! I had a 28 day cycle straight off the pill, then last month was 24 days. So I don't know if I'm 3 days late or due in the next couple of days Blush I'll see if AF turns up this week and if not then I guess I'll test again! Good luck to you :)

PoppyJ1 · 05/06/2017 17:23

Doodles in my case cycle day is irrelevant because my periods are irregular but my ovulation is regular, i.e. I ovulate around the same time every month but don't always bleed. I have an endocrine condition that is responsible for this. Coming off the Pill can cause all kinds of irregularities though and again I would imagine cycle day isn't a reliable indication after just two months off it. So I only ever bother to track ovulation and days post ovulation. In my two previous pregnancies I tested at 11 dpo (faint positive) and 12 dpo (raging positive). Sadly I lost both and the first one I think was already doomed by the time I tested.

Do you have any idea when you actually ovulated, or have I missed an earlier post? If you ovulated late it could still be too early to test.

doodles13 · 05/06/2017 18:14

I'm so sorry Poppy, sounds like you've had an awful time :(

I have no idea when I ovulated! I did an OPK around day 16 and it was negative. So I figured I already had. Ah we'll just see what happens in the next few days!!

PoppyJ1 · 05/06/2017 18:31

Thanks. It's ben rubbish but I'm hopeful and my docs have not found anything wrong so far. Am on glucocorticoids for next time :)

You may have ovulated even later than cd16! You're not out yet...
