Late period?

Hi,

My cycles are generally regular (28 - 31 days, have never missed a period and the latest I have ever been is 4 days late many years ago) I am now 5 days late (my last period started 17th April). I have never had unprotected sex and the condom has never split. The only possibility for pregnancy I can think of is (tmi warning!) a small amount of precum, a week and a half after I was supposed to ovulate (supposed to ovulate 3rd May, had sex 11th/12th of May). Cannot think I was particularly stressed during ovulation, am not massively losing/gaining weight etc. I have tested negative, but I'm not sure if this is only because it would be too early for hCG to be present/detectable as it was only a week ago. I know the tests say you can test from before your period is late or as soon as it is late, but I'm unsure whether the fact it was only a week before my period was due would affect this.

Any advice? Keep testing, or try to get a blood test? I am very worried about the possibility of pregnancy - my partner and I are absolutely not TTC.
