My DS (18 months) was a 'happy accident', not least because i was on the pill at the time. This time, we've made a conscious decision to start trying for another baby. So, apart from the obvious (!), where do i start? Thanks x

Hi stinkimalinki - love your nickname! (actually thats what I call my dog sometimes!! )

Well there will be loads of people on here to give you advise, but I guess the main thing is to make sure you are taking folic acid supplement and/or general pre natal vitamin supplement (pregnacare or the like) If your cycles are pretty regualr look out for EWCM mid way through to indicate you are fertile and get to it - BD lots!! (actually some say every other day others say 3 times a week) - but clearly from your last pregnancy your body seems to strive to get pg against all odds!!

Beyond that it really depends how far into TTC you want to get (and will probably be lnked to how long you are TTCing for!!) the longer you are trying for the more tools you try - like taking your temp every monring and ovulation predictor kits/tests. But thats a whole other issue and if I were you I would try without them first as they can come to dominate your life (speaking from experience !!)

Good Luck!

Stinky come and join one of the monthly threads and ask all the questions you want No matter how embarassing

Seaside is right about the supplements and there are lots of different approaches just pick the one that suits you.

Also it can become all consuming so enjoy what you have especially with number one already There are some good books you may want to look into if it takes longer than expected. Good luck

Thanks. I must admit i've been lurking for a few weeks now, and i'm already baffled by all the abbreviations used (they don't appear on the acronyms list). Plus, i've very aware that i've already got one DC so i wouldn't want to offend anyone that hasn't got any children yet...i guess i'll see how things go. Thanks for the support and advice x

Loads of women on here have kids, lots don't just get stuck in. If you have questions just ask or lurk if that's more fun.

there's thread for everything if they match join in. There's a thread for ttc #2 that matches

ttc#2

Or hop on the April thread

If you get stuck with any of the acronyms just ask or look me up and ask. Any you want to know now, some are too trendy for me but I know a few
