Negative tests-no period

Hi I'm all very new to this but like many threads I've read other women have been in the same boat.

Had my first proper period (after having my implant removed) on the 12th April, took an ovulation test 14 days after the first day of my period, I was ovulating (did the deed) period was due Saturday just gone..nothing, took an early detection clearblue test first day of missed period and it was negative, took another one this morning (cheap test) negative again however still no period. Early last week I got some spotting but wasn't a period, as last month was my first period after being on the implant for five years I'm still cautious of my cycle however I ovulated the correct time.
My mind may be playing tricks on me but I've felt some changes, struggling to sleep, even though I'm shattered, some dull aching pain in my lower right side abdomen.

Any ideas guys? Or am I going crazy?

An ovulation test will only tell you that you are gearing up to ovulate, not that you definitely have. As it's your first cycle since coming off birth control, you may not have ovulated, and a late period/longer cycle can be indicative of an anovulatory cycle, and strange cycles are pretty normal after birth control so I wouldn't worry.

Alternatively you might be pregnant and it's just not showing yet. I'd say give it a couple of days and test again if still nothing. Good luck!

Thanks so much! Think I'll wait until Saturday so a week late then retest, I realise I would be extremely lucky if I was! Haven't had a normal cycle since my teens so it's hard to get to grips with it all
