Take care of yourself @flat . Check in with us in a few days. X

Twistedsister7 · 31/05/2017 20:19

Sorry @Flatwhite31 - I'm coming to the end of AF now.

Been on holiday with in-laws & major stressed out!! Really heavy AF & major bitchiness on my part!! Today I thought it stopped & then it started again!! Wtf??

Twistedsister7 · 31/05/2017 20:22

@charl19 I've pm'd you. Thanks everyone for explaining how too 😂😂

Flatwhite31 · 01/06/2017 10:34

Hi ladies! Back sooner than expected. I think yesterday I was just overwhelmed with everything. I'm still getting bad headaches from the accident last week, and yesterday was a particularly bad one. I've also completely lost my appetite which isn't great. I know I shouldn't complain about this, but I've always been light, and at the moment I'm a bit under 8 stone, or even less now as my clothes feel looser than they were (and that's with AF bloat!). I wonder if my body is even capable of sustaining a pregnancy at this weight! This, in turn,is making me feel anxious which isn't helping the appetite. It's a vicious cycle. Back to work on Mon after half term, and I'm actually looking forward to it as a distraction and consequently putting me back on track with things. I've also just ordered clear blue digital ovulation sticks from Groupon, as I do wonder if I'm ovulating later than I actually think I am. On the positive side of things, I have had a 28 day cycle, so that's a good thing. Thank you so much for all your support btw, you're all amazing.
@jelly, how are you feeling?
@twisted, I had a 2 day period last month, but then spotted on and off for a good few days afterwards. Annoying! Hope you've recovered from your holiday with the in-laws! Lol xx

MrsMelron · 01/06/2017 10:42

Hi ladies! I've been gone for a few days, and just been catching up...

@Misty hope all is ok with your friends now. They will come round, nothing you can have said or done can have been that bad. Just apologise, forgive yourself, and they will forgive you when they are ready.

@Jelly MASSIVE congrats!!

@Flat sorry to hear it was a BFN this time. Fx for you this time round.

I'm on CD21 now. Had some EWCM last week (not had that before as been on contraception - it was quite an eyeopener!!!) but my temp hasn't changed at all so I don't think I have ovulated this month. Not too surprised as it's the first month off the pill for me.

And I know I'm not pregnant. Because I got a BFN. In hospital :( Had a bit of a mare this week. My face fell on one side on Monday, went to get checked out on Tuesday. The docs think it is Bell's Palsy, and I'm being treated with some brutal steroids which are sending me weird. But they can't rule out that I've had a little stroke, so got to go back for more testing. So scary! I'm only 32!!

All this means no DTD at the moment - hubby is treating me like I'm a china doll. Kind of nice to be looked after. But with half my face paralysed I'm probably not quite such a turn on at the moment anyway! Haha.

Pibbee · 01/06/2017 10:42

Hi @flat you sound a bit more upbeat which is great! Good luck with the CB sticks- they drove me mad but a lot of people swear by them!

I am out for this month too. As that was cycle 5, I should go to the gp if nothing happens next time. But I am actually tempted to just make the appointment now, what think? As now it looks like its getting to the stage of checking everything is A-OK, Im thinking might as well crack on now rather than waiting another month....

Pibbee · 01/06/2017 10:47

Hi @mrsmelron good to hear from you! Sorry to hear about whats happened, are you still in hospital now? How you feeling today? Xx

MrsMelron · 01/06/2017 11:00

Thanks @Pibbee. I'm home now. Had an epic 8 hours in A&E on Tues, but got home Tues night. Going in for an MRI on my brain sometime in the next couple of weeks. Feeling ok. Bit self conscious about my wonky mouth, when I talk, and tired from the steroids, but other than that I'm fine. I'm on some enforced rest from work, and I'm doing my best to enjoy that. I'm not very good at having time off though, I'm a paid up member of the workaholics club!

JellyBean89 · 01/06/2017 12:40

@MrsMelron that sounds scary, I'm so glad you're feeling ok. Make the most of your time off from work and take care of yourself. Xx

@Flat it's good you had a 28day cycle, when are your opks arriving? It's good that you'll get an idea of when you are ovulating xx

ttcnovice · 01/06/2017 12:43

MrsMelron sorry to hear you're going through all that, it sounds so scary for you Flowers. Hopefully you'll get some answers from the MRI. Take it easy and look after yourself until then xxx

Flat good to have you back already Smile. I'm the same as Pibbee the CB OPK's do drive me a bit mad. Had a month off from them this month, but no doubt I'll get drawn into them again next cycle! Good luck with them hopefully they'll work as they should for you!

KP90 · 01/06/2017 15:07

Hi Ladies!
Super new to this!!
My husband and I are in the very early stages! I am coming off my pill on Sunday and have taken 2 days of Pegnacare and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future! I have been on the pill for 10 years so can't even remember what my natural cycle was like! How long do you think it'll take us? I ideally want a BFP in July! Just concerned I don't know my cycle or when I'm ovulating etc!! 🙈

Twistedsister7 · 01/06/2017 22:23

@kp90 don't expect to get a BFP on demand!! My FP nurse said expect it to take 12 months. You could be really lucky so don't rule it out but don't expect it to happen when you want!!

@MrsMelron I'm sorry to hear you're unwell. Fx for your tests & a speedy recover.

Welcome back @Flatwhite31 xx

Flatwhite31 · 01/06/2017 22:29

Welcome @kp90. Coming off the pill isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I've been feeling very disheartened lately as I naively thought I'd get pregnant quickly! That's not to say you won't, of course, but don't build your hopes up like I did. I really regret that now! I would say see how long your cycles are first, then take it from there. Best of luck!
@MrsMelron, omg how scary! We can be hospital buddies together. I've been referred back to cardiology to investigate possible recurrence of SVT (a heart arrhythmia). I think I've been getting it due to my concussion accident last week, but they just want to be on the safe side, especially as I'm TTC. Did they do a CT scan on you? Look after yourself.

MrsMelron · 02/06/2017 09:19

@Flat you're on :) Yes, I had a CT. Didn't show anything up, and they said they were pretty confident it wouldn't. I think they're just being ultra cautious as the palsy is something you diagnose by exclusion (i.e. rule everything else out). Having done all of the washing, I've been enjoying the garden without guilt. I think perhaps I could get used to some time off... Hope your tests go ok @Flat. Don't stress - they will just be keeping a close eye on you, I bet it's nothing to worry about. But make sure you take care of yourself!

@KP90 I think everyone is different when coming off the pill. I am currently in my first pill free month. I'm like you - no idea what my natural cycles were like as I was a teenager the last time I had one! So I've been using the natural cycles app and taking my BBT every morning. It's quite interesting to see how everything is working/not working. I'm on CD22 so far, and despite some positive signs earlier in the month, my temperature shows that I haven't in fact ovulated this month. Some people ovulate straight away though. Just try to be patient and get to know your body. Good luck though! And have fun trying Wink

MistyBxx · 02/06/2017 16:09

Omg mrsmelron bless you hope you're ok!

flat so glad you're feeling more positive chick. Don't underestimate a head injury, my friend badly knocked her head a couple of years ago, and it really affected her emotionally, she was weepy, irrational and emotional and eventually was prescribed antidepressants, it took a year for her to completely recover. I'm not saying it will be the same for you of course, but give yourself some time to look after yourself and don't give yourself a hard time about anything. Hopefully work will give you that chance to get back into routine and eating better too to make a lovely healthy nest in there for your future babe 😍 and being very slim doesn't mean you can't be pg, it's what is healthy and normal for your bod. Take care of yourself lovely, and we are always here 👋🏼

kp90 it's amazing how easy we think ttc will be 😂 and hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones who catches immediately off the pill, plenty of people do! But lots don't, and it's easy to wonder why then and get stressed and upset 😳 so best of luck at the start of this exciting/stressful journey! When I came off the pill after 15 years, I continued my clockwork 28 day cycle, but symptoms such as cramps and sore boobies were kind of masked on the pill and appeared with a vengeance when I came off! I thought I was pg every month coz my boobies would ache so bad and grow huge, I'd be tired and grumpy and bloated, nothing like it used to be on the pill! So look after yourself and make a record of everything on apps like Clue and Ovia to keep track :) and keep us posted!

Hi ladies, I am new to mumsnet. We are ttc our third baby. I am Day 15 of a normally 26 day cycle. My most fertile day was Wednesday. Today I have egg white consistency discharge with a little bit of pink through it. Just wondering what this could be? Never had it before. Xx

KP90 · 02/06/2017 17:54

MistyBxx
Thanks so much I'll keep you all posted!! Trying to be remain happy and excited for the time ahead xx

MistyBxx · 03/06/2017 13:38

Hmmm tricky mummyg it could be implantation bleeding (I've heard that looks like pinky discharge) but usually that happens like a week or more after conception. But as your cycles are nice and short, could it be you ovulated earlier than you thought?
Pay attention to your body now... could be something exciting :) xx

OP posts:
MummyGofboys · 03/06/2017 22:26

@MistyBxx yeah my cycles seem to be short. I have been having cramps again today but more on the right side and totally shattered. Could just be that I am paying more attention to my cycle this month. We shall see. 11 days until I can test. No spotting since yesterday xx

MistyBxx · 03/06/2017 22:31

That could defo be implantation chicky! Not that I've ever experienced it myself but I know some people do! Oooof try and hold out now as long as you can before tearing, its hard but worth the wait x

OP posts:
MummyGofboys · 03/06/2017 22:40

@MistyBxx I really hope so. Not long to wait now. This will be my third pregnancy and the first time I have tracked my cycles. I never understood it all before so had no idea when I ovulated or conceived so it's all a bit new lol. Nice to be able to speak to people in the same boat. How long have you been trying? Xx

MistyBxx · 04/06/2017 10:12

Since November last year. I've got no children at all so this is my first time! I did get pregnant in March but sadly lost it in April at about 7 weeks. It was horrible but I'm feeling positive now, just a waiting game 😊
Tracking is good but can drive you nuts lol x

SophSoph92 · 04/06/2017 20:15

Thanks ladies, your advice is really appreciate. The other half and I DTD every day in the 5 day window of ovulation. I only ovulated 4 days ago so was just wondering the relevance of sore nipples?? Just an ovulation sign this early on? Also today been having those weird cramps you get a few days before your period?
Amazing how aware of you're bodies you are when you're TTC. Had our 2 year old nephew round today and my ovaries were glowing!!! Haha

Pibbee · 04/06/2017 20:17

Hey Soph, glad to see you posting again :) Sore nips 4 dpo is an ovulation thing I think. I get that too. Same with the random cramps. When are you due to test?

MummyGofboys · 04/06/2017 20:20

@MistyBxx oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you get a wee sticky bean this time and very soon xx
