orange so pleased to hear your mum has an op date and not long to wait. Hope it all goes well

grumpy glad date night went well. I'd love to own an Audi! What have you decided on?

buzz gave DH lots of pain killers and then jumped him ha ha the lengths I have to go to!

tigger glad you had a good party. I've been getting different results with CB and ic opks. Flashing smiley on cb but negative on opks. I agree with grumpy and will just go with the CB

jb sounds like a lovely Sunday

parsnips safe travels

buzz I love tk maxx. Great haul there!

Just have to get through the week then bank holiday weekend yay!

otters2017 · 21/05/2017 22:59

Omg got a faint positive on the ic opks. The test line is very faint but it's been paper white up till now. I'm getting a very heavy dragging feeling on my left side and I'm wondering if I'm about to ovulate. I really hope I'll get a static smiley and see a positive on the ic opk tomorrow. Fingers crossed! We've managed to dtd today despite DH's bad back and got one in yesterday before he hurt his back. Trying so hard not to get my hopes up. I've never ovulated before and the thought that I might is overwhelming!

buzzmoon · 21/05/2017 23:10

Wahay otters!! So glad you were able to dtd! Keep humping!! 🍆🍆🍆

otters2017 · 22/05/2017 06:32

Spoke too soon. The ic opk is negative this morning and CB still flashing smiley. I'm really confused!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/05/2017 06:36

Otters isn't the static smiley the positive on CB? With a few days of flashing leading up? I never got a real positive on the cheap OPK but the darkest I got was same or slightly lighter than control line.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/05/2017 06:37

The CB dual hormone will pick up the lead up to ov while OPK won't (LH only) which explains what you are seeing. I reckon a day or two to go.

otters2017 · 22/05/2017 06:55

I've never had a static smiley on the CB grumpy I was getting ahead of myself thinking that it might actually happen. I hope it will in a day or two. I've already had 5 days of flashing smiley so looking less likely for a static smiley. This is my first month using the ic opks alongside.

Seven0fNine · 22/05/2017 07:02

Don't they say not to use the ic opks first thing in the morning as well. What CD you on otters? This is still progress anyway so fingers crossed my lovely xxx

orange so glad there is a plan and hopefully you're mum will be fighting fit again soon xxx

Grumpy sound bliss...I was really missing beer last night so had a 0% one and have woken up with what feels like a hangover! So unfair. DH put away many normal beers and is fine!

Charl I love the kitchen - lovely and fresh. Mine is similar but a bit darker than that. It's amazing the difference a coat of paint can make.

buzz good haul from tk's - I can't wait to have a look round the shops and start collecting bits and pieces.

We were out visiting a friend yesterday for lunch and then went to watch the football at my sister's. Was so tempted to tell her but want to keep it a secret a bit longer although she has invited us over to stay next week so I can "drink" so I will probably tell her then.

Off to work today. Last week of this timetable then I will be all in one place for 3 days after half term. After years of driving round different schools this will be a welcome change!

HeyJupiter · 22/05/2017 07:22

Hi otters I would repeat the CB later today (maybe midday onwards) as I never got a static smiley with CB on FMU (despite what the packet says!) I used to get days and days of flashing faces before starting to double up on the tests. Once I tested three times in one day and didn't get my static until 4pm (expensive habit but worth it!)

Good luck MrsC, thinking of you today. You will be amazing :)

biker deep breaths and good luck!

Seven excellent about your work changes too, must be nice to change the pattern a bit.

First day back after a week off. Urgh the horror!

HeyJupiter · 22/05/2017 07:25

Ohh buzz what a gorgeous baby haul, love the bunny shorts Grin

Safe flight parsnips Flowers

Have everything crossed for you Tigger!!

JB my nausea started at about 7 weeks, low level and worse when hungry. Got worse around weeks 9-10 but gently improved since then. Even just a little stress at work would aggravate it though so think some of it was psychological for me.

Mummyme87 · 22/05/2017 07:44

otters my IC OPK didn't darken up until just before ovulation. I did three IC a day, don't rely on a FMU for OPK. My last cycle I had 6 flashing smileys and on the 6th day my IC was quite dark, got a positive in the evening so repeated a CB oPK and got my flashing smiley. I then ovulated the next day. Don't lose hope yet

Felt a bit of nausea yesterday but woke up feeling very sick and quite retchy 🤢 OH is feeling sorry for himself in bed, high temp and shivering, and DS was awake at 4am... I can't see mummy, I need a wee mummy, I need medicine mummy 😖😴

Seven0fNine · 22/05/2017 07:55

good luck Mrs C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tigger83 · 22/05/2017 07:56

Do you think I've possibly ovulated twice? The opk was a very clear positive and I've got crampy pain on my left side today- i still think i ovulated on my right side on Friday.

otters2017 · 22/05/2017 07:57

Thanks all for the sage advice. Will test again later and may even follow jupiter's expensive habit. Will order more cb sticks online today. Trying not to worry too much about the sticks will just try and dtd ED as hoping it's almost ovulation day. I'm CD 19 so it's getting late in the cycle but I know it's not impossible. Fx ! Any of the humped ladies ovulated later than cd20? (With regular cycles )

HeyJupiter · 22/05/2017 08:12

Not sure Tigger, I've heard of people having a second surge later in the cycle if the first one didn't quite produce enough LH. Or it might just be post-ovulation bruising you're feeling - I had loads of ovarian pain for weeks after ovulating the month I got my BFP. The midwife said it was my corpus luteum doing it's job :) Good luck!

otters it's expensive but worth it Grin

HeyJupiter · 22/05/2017 08:13

(oh and Tigger maybe you ovulated from your left rather than you're right last week but were growing a nice big follicle on your right at the same time which is what you felt last week)

HbH · 22/05/2017 08:46

Morning Girls!

Good luck with the new job today MrsC & you jupiter going back after your lovely week off... always tough!

GORGEOUS clothes haul Buzz ❤️ TK for off the beaten track baby stuff!

Hope you get your static/positive soon otters , try not to stress tho cos this can delay Ov Flowers

Sounds like a really productive weekend grumpy & good to have distractions.

Hi to newbies

Sorry I've forgotten people, had a really busy social weekend so could barely get on MN & lots happened! Binge watched all of 'little boy blue' last night, so unbelievably sad. Also, scan today... so scared 😳

HeyJupiter · 22/05/2017 08:53

Hb good luck for your scan!! What time is it?? Drink loads of water or you'll end up "going vaginal" like I did x

HbH · 22/05/2017 08:56

It's at 16.00... I've already set a reminder on my phone to drink water at 15.00!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 22/05/2017 09:12

Thanks Jupes Smile bad anxiety last night but this morning all I can think of is "I wonder if I can hold the 4-5 glasses of water they are asking me to drink"! Silly, I know.

Good luck to you and MrsC with work today Smile

OPK testers - my static smiley face definitely came in a mid-afternoon test Smile

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/05/2017 09:29

Good luck to biker and Hb with your scans and MrsC on your first day in the new job!

Well I had my first crappy comment.. told my massage therapist I lost the baby (she was one of the only non family who knew I was pregnant). She said "well everything happens for a reason" and "you are a bit older now so maybe your body had a hard time adjusting to being pregnant". I am pretty thick skinned but her comments stung. I know she meant well, but I'm not old and there's nothing wrong with me!! I know there was probably something wrong with the embryo but "everything happens for a reason" is still hurtful.

I'm going to fire up the CBFM I decided. It will think I'm CD4 and I just want to see whether it can pick up ovulation before my first AF. I did an OPK yesterday and it was super faint. So I don't think the CBFM will get too confused, fx. I just can't stand not knowing, & I want to try and conceive again asap.

HbH · 22/05/2017 09:47

That's absolutely brutal Grumpy, not true & absolutely not what someone should be saying out loud... shame on her😡

MrsC2017 · 22/05/2017 09:48

Morning girls! Will catch up properly later, I'm to report at 10am so just sitting in the cafe opposite! Feeling nervous now but thanks for all your well wishes and good luck to hb and biker with the scans today! Will catch up on everything else later.... Eeeeekkkk x

Mummyme87 · 22/05/2017 10:01

Good luck mrsc I'm sure it will all be fine 😊

Good luck for scans HB and biker

Springersprung · 22/05/2017 10:24

Good luck for scans today Hb and biker. Grumpy I'm sorry about the comments from your therapist. Some people really need to think before they open their mouths!
I'm struggling this morning - gone back to being teary, just sat on the sofa sobbing. Am off to doc's in an hour to see if they will sign me off til end of the week. My head teacher has been really understanding and supportive. Think the fact I'm going to have to verbalise everything with a stranger isn't helping. And I know it shouldn't matter, but the doctor us male which makes things harder...
