8 dpo today. Yesterday was very bloated & looked pregnant. Had cramps on and off throughout the day and quite painful. Also TMI but had some diarrhea last night at around 9pm but nothing since. Felt nauseous when it happened too but didn't vomit.

Everything happens for a reason was literally the first thing my mum said to me! My own mother! It really does sting! Sorry she said that to you grumpy- she has obviously never been through the same experience. You are not old. I've seen your photos and you're the picture of bloody health! It's not your fault this happened. I think you're doing really well. Take it easy.

Sorry, keep trying to post but getting distracted by needing to do work!!

springer really sorry you're feeling shit today, hope docs sign you off and you can take the time without worrying about work. How did you get on at docs? Hope it wasn't too hard talking to him. Can you request a female one for next time?

I'm off work today, just feeling really shit and couldn't face going in to work. Think I'm feeling really anxious of telling my boss and dunno just feel really weird like have no energy to do anything. Like couldn't even get out of bed this morning and just can't get off the sofa to do anything 😔 I know I'm being super pathetic and ridiculous compared to you fabulous lot but dunno what's wrong with me. Feeling nauseous too

Oh grumpy, that's brutal 😞 it's harder because you know they mean well, and they think that they're giving you comfort, but their words just demonstrate that they don't understand what you're going through. Hope your day gets better x

@buzzmoon 3pm. Will start drinking water as instructed at 2pm but I'm really not sure I'll be able to hold a full bladder for long so that'll probably mean delays as they ask me to sit and drink more water again

biker even if it's really hard, don't go to the loo! I thought I was going to wet myself and the sonographer said my bladder wasn't full enough so had to sit and wait another 15 mins and I was soooo uncomfortable but as soon as the image came up I forgot and just wanted to look. Resist the urge because jupiter had to have a vaginal scan because her bladder wasn't full enough.

Vaginal scans aren't too bad. I've had like ten now!  best of luck both of you.

So nice and sunny today, I'm feeling good. At work but it's only a 4 day week for me. Going camping at the weekend on the south coast! Hope you feel better soon @Springersprung xx

@buzzmoon I shall try my best but mainly because I think they're not going to offer me a TV scan as an alternative but will require me to sit and sip, as you say, and I don't want to have to start again and delay for even longer!

Definitely agree that TVS aren't that bad. I'm glad my hospital don't want a Full bladder for scans 😀
Gorgeous day out today. However I have been unbelievably lazy so far.
OH ha just dropped the bombshell that he may need to go to hong kong next month for work.... not entirely sure how this will work for childcare 🤔😑

mummy how come some sonogrpahers require a full bladder and others don't? Surely it's the same ultrasound machine?

Not sure buzz i know they just don't require a full bladder. Not sure if the USS machine is better therefore clearer? I think Kings college is the same and they have a similarly specialist fetal medicine unit 🤔

Vaginal scans are absolutely fine! The probe is tiny (long and super narrow).

They are the norm at every single annual cervical smear in Austria, where I lived for a few years.

I can tell you, it was a little bit of a shock the first time I visited a gynea over there! Mine was called Dr. Busch, which I found hilarious!

But anyway, TVS are a non-issue so don't worry if you have one!

Grumpy What an insensitive cow... honestly the everything happens for a reason is bad enough but you are no where near being old! Please don't listen to her and just put it down to awkwardness on her behalf.

I hope the scans went will Biker and HB so excited to see pictures! I also didn't require a full bladder for my 12 week one but I was advised to try and have a bit of water before laying down.

TV scans are fine btw! Infact in some ways they are more comfurtable... especially from my private 17 week one I just had because it felt horrid her pushing on my little Bump!

I have felt what I can only assume is baby Noah kicking today... It felt a bit like a twitch but not as strong? If I'm wrong please feel free to correct me looool

Ohh springer and buzz sorry you’re both feeling so rotten. You’re right to take some time away from work. Sending hugs.. oh and buzz you aren’t remotely pathetic, I know that feeling so well and gave into it myself the week before last. Was absolutely the right thing to do. You need to put your baby and your wellbeing first.

Wow confused that must feel amazing. Little Noah letting you know he's there. Can't wait to start feeling BabyJupes. He/She was a little wriggler on the screen (all elbows) so should be interesting :)

Afternoon ladies Everything was fine - little biker was actively kicking and waving arms about. Am at 12+2 today but little biker measured 12+4 so due date has been brought forward (for now anyway) to 30 Nov. Nuchal fold looked normal, but will get blood test results anyway in a week or so.

Thanks for all the support and hand holding and luck!! Was stunned at first; tears (of relief) came later!
