Happy Sunday! Meeting some friends for brunch in an hour, then home to nervously bite my nails for the evening! Trying not to think about tomorrow until it's tomorrow but can't help it!
otters sorry to hear your OH has hurt himself! Hopefully with a few painkillers he'll be better later!
charl kitchen looks great, nothing like fresh paint to brighten things up!
seven there is so many cheese rules, I avoided brie but had port salut and the wendsleydale with cranberry and a garlic and herb hard cheese, no idea what it was! But it was good! I may have more later! Weighed myself this morning and I'm actually down two pounds despite ovia telling me I should be up 5 five and despite the cheeseboard, bump is definitely prominent now though! Hoping I can still hide it for a week or so in work before I tell them!
buzz enjoy the car shopping, I'm thinking I'll have to go soon too but I also want a new sofa and other things so will have to compromise somewhere! Good luck with telling your boss, I'll hand hold as will be doing the same soon, except I have never met my boss! 🙈🙈🙈 hope your headache feels better!

orangefolly · 21/05/2017 12:29

Hi everyone, happy Sunday!

Congrats confused - a boy! Must be so exciting planning and buying everything you are going to get to get ready for his arrival.

MrsC good luck for tomorrow. Enjoy brunch!

Hello biker and springer. Wishing you luck for the scan biker - not surprised you are nervous but sure it will be okay.

Jupiter glad you had a good trip. And thanks for your kind words and telling me about your mum - it does help to hear about people who have come out the other side.

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes. My mum now has a date for her op - 2 June. Consultant said they seem to have caught it early, so hoping that after the op and radiotherapy it will be gone.

It's been a crazy busy weekend here. I have bought a car (long time Londoner, haven't had one for years) - I'm definitely going to need it while my mum is ill as they live in the sticks. Off to have a swim in the lido now.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 12:36

Think 2 beers last night was a mistake, feeling even more knackered today even though I slept 10 hours! Date night was nice though. We have done a tip run this morning with loads of crap from the garden and building works, I've now collapsed on the lovely new sofa with one of the cats.

Charl kitchen paint looks fab! So impressed with your DIY skills. Our kitchen is so shabby, unfortunately it's got to be the last room on our list.

Lovely dream buzz Grin hope the headache eases and that telling work goes ok x

Jupiter glad the nausea has eased! In a way I want to get pregnant again asap but in another way - two first trimesters back to back is not appealing to me right now!!

Otters how about he just lies back and thinks of England? Wink

MrsC enjoy brunch! I hope first day in new job goes well tomorrow x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 12:38

Orange glad that they have fixed an op date and that they seem to have caught it early. Flowers for your mum. Enjoy your swim - which lido? X

buzzmoon · 21/05/2017 13:11

otters sorry to hear about DHs back! Hope he's alright to just lie there later, that might not be too strenuous? You're already doing ALL the work round the house so doing ALL the work to dtd won't be too bad, then when he's feeling better he can do it all :)

jupiter isn't the acne horrendous! My holiday really cleared up my skin but 2 days back in the uk and already look like shit again!

mrs thanks! When will you tell your new boss? Sofa is easy to do, we got ours 0% from Sofaworks and only pay like £30 per month :)

orange enjoy the lido! You brave thing! What car did you get?? Exciting! Glad your mum has a date, keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

Glad you had a nice night out grumpy I think date night is so important, you forget to take time for each other sometimes :)

Tigger83 · 21/05/2017 13:32

Oh dear I'm very hung over.... stayed up till 4:30.... don't think I've done that since I was at uni...

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 13:43

@Tigger83 👏🏼 round of applause for you! Did you have fun?

buzzmoon · 21/05/2017 13:47

Haha tigger 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 did you have fun? Drink all the water and eat all the carbs!!

Tigger83 · 21/05/2017 13:51

It was a great party but I'm exhausted! We're going for a little walk in the forest to ease the hang over. Feeling quite emotional today really quite sad about the baby.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 15:49

Tigger I'm so sorry. I'm feeling it today too. Completely in denial bought loads of baby GAP stuff 😢

DancingUnicorn · 21/05/2017 15:52

I'm sorry Tigger and grumpy. Big hugs. I find weekends, especially if I'm tired, can be harder as there's more time to fill. ❤️

DancingUnicorn · 21/05/2017 15:52

(Though tbh, I think it's sometimes just pot luck depending on the day!)

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 21/05/2017 16:41

@Tigger83 & @TheGrumpySquirrel Major hugs to you both xx

@orangefolly Thank you. It's mid afternoon so hope to give you guys a good update afterwards 🙏

@charl19 Think small fairs take place throughout the year all over the country but the largest ones are the NEC in May and Olympia in Oct. We treated the NEC as a reccy visit and are planning to buy what we can at the Olympia show (depending on lead times, we may have to order some stuff before Oct).

HeyJupiter · 21/05/2017 17:33

Tigger so sorry you’re having a sad day. It’s totally to be expected. Thinking of you Flowers

MrsC hope you had a lovely day and you have some nails left :) It will be fine tomorrow, looking forward to hearing all about it.

orange great news that your mum has an op date, at least it feels like things are moving. Would be great if she can avoid chemo and go straight to radio too. Thinking of you all Flowers

Oh lovely grumpy, yes the idea of two back to back first trimesters does sound fairly horrendous BUT totally worth it too. Big hugs today given you’re feeling so rough. Those baby gap clothes will definitely be used sooner rather than later.

Dancing how many DPO are you now lovely? When are you testing?

biker have everything crossed for you tomorrow, but have a really good feeling for you and little biker x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 17:36

Cheering myself up looking at nearly new Audis. I found out that the private reg "Y4 BVU" is available ha ha... maybe taking my MN obsession too far!!
Shall I get.. an A4 avant (estate), A5 sportback (coupe), or a TT??

Best of luck for your scan tomorrow biker x

Springersprung · 21/05/2017 17:43

Hugs to you both Tigger and Grumpy. It really is an emotional rollercoaster, unfortunately at the moment with more downs than ups, but I'm sure the ups will come again for each of us. I'm starting to feel more positive now, in the sense that trying again doesn't seem like such a ridiculous idea any more.

Sounds like everyone is having a really active weekend - I'm sat in the garden watching my DH do the gardening!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 21/05/2017 17:44

Thank you both 😘

JB1983 · 21/05/2017 18:00

I'm joining those on the productive Sundays, have been a six mile walk with a pub lunch halfway and weeded the garden and bought nice blue pots and golden chips to tidy up the front garden.

Good luck for starting your new job mrsC

grumpy ooh a new Audi sounds nice.

Tigger sorry today is a bad day. Hope the walk helps.

confused the baby show sounds like it was a success. I wish the Scottish one hadn't just been.

Charl I like that colour, very nice.

otters that's a buggar about DHs back, escpecially during fertile week. Hopefully it eases up quickly.

orange glad your mum has a date. It kind of feels like limbo after diagnosis until treatment begins.

buzz hope your headache has eased. Glad the nausea has eased off jupiter still waiting on it hitting but enjoying it now being here at the moment. When did it start for you guys?

penguin are you still around lovely? Just wondering how you are getting on? x

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 21/05/2017 19:08

We're at manchester airport now and the security queue is grim. Our flight to Dubai departs at 9.15pm. Can't wait to see my little pooch tomorrow for a cuddle. I. Laws are booked to come over for a visit in November and then we'll see my lot again in December for Christmas. Hopefully I'll have a little bump by then. Hope you've all had nice weekends x

buzzmoon · 21/05/2017 19:35

Evening! You all sound super productive! I've not done much, except when mad in tk maxx and got some amazing bargains :)

Hope you have a good flight parsnips

Hugs to tigger and grumpy I'm sure those baby gap clothes will be used soon ❤️❤️

charl19 · 21/05/2017 19:39

Buzz they are gorgeous!! Must be so exciting being able to buy things!

Thanks for all the comments about the kitchen it makes the time it too feel worth it! Was a really dull purple before and just looked really grubby!!

Thinking of you grumpy and tigger xx you're allowed to have down days, it happens to all of us! I've had the fact that I would be having my 12 week scan around now floating in the back of my mind this week but you just pick up and carry on.

Hope everyone has nice Sundays, went for a nice walk with DH stopping for a drink half way which was much needed to chill today!

Safe journey back parsnips x

Tigger83 · 21/05/2017 19:51

Hi all I'm feeling a bit better now, think it was the boozy blues as much as anything.

So I'm 2dpo (assuming I ovulated Friday which is when I got pains and static smiley) I've been getting some weird crampy type feelings... surely much too early for implantation?! Wishful thinking I think!!

Tigger83 · 21/05/2017 20:00

I know it's not possible it takes 5 days for it to travel down the tube but it defo feels odd.... oh the joys of the tww!!

Tigger83 · 21/05/2017 21:24

Ok ic opk is showing clear positive tonight although cbd said peak was Friday/sat?!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/05/2017 21:29

tigger I would trust the CB as it tracks your dual hormone levels. I never got on with the IC OPK. When I got my peak on CB was def when I conceived. Early scan matched exactly. Glad you are feeling a bit better.

I've had a lovely dinner cooked by DH with a beautiful bottle of red 🍷 now going to sit on my new sofa and watch a film with DD. Feeling so grateful for my family and the small but significant house progress!!
