My friend is telling me this is negative....

I am two days late and took this test, I thought it was a faint positive but my friend was adamant it was negative. Help please

It's a cheap one from asda. It needs two lines to be positive. I thought there was second line it's just faint.

Hi whatthefudge - that's reassuring, but worried as my period is two days late, should the line be much darker? Wish I had splashed out on a proper test now! Hehe

I can see 2 lines! Get yourself a better test though just to be sure

My first test with Dd1 looked like that. I rang the helpline. They said that any line, however faint, is a positive. I tested again the following morning and it was darker.

This was taken the day after those two.

She's now 2.5!

Tests, especially cheapie ones (which I love as you can do so many!) are not sophisticated enough to respond to strength and will all have different amounts of dye in them - please don't keep testing because a random faint one will make you worry for nothing! That's a positive, congratulations :)

Took ages for mine to go as dark as the control line on that type of test and I drove myself mad by doing a fair few! -

If you call EPAU (Early Pregnancy Assessment Unity) tomorrow morning (open every day) they will get you in for a HCG Hormone Test. They did it for me. They'll take your blood and test how much HCG hormone is there and confirm your pregnancy officially. Sometimes they have to do this with conflicting pregnancy tests x

I will just buy a FRER tomorrow and see what that says
