Pregnant on coil??

I need some advice. I've had the copper coil since February. Everything seemed to be going fine, periods in 28
Day cycle and not too harsh.
I've been paying attention to my CM due to this app and last week for 2 days I had small little bits of blood in my CM. I ignored it and today I feel sick as a dog and keep having stomach cramps right where I usually get period pains, but they don't feel the same.
I'm not due on my period for another week. I'm slightly concerned I may infact be pregnant, after googling the bleeding- suspected to be implantation....help!!

After the coil was fitted, did you go back a month later to make sure it was sited correctly?

FATEdestiny · 09/05/2017 09:51

Not wishing to worry you, I read this the other day...

user1494309229 · 09/05/2017 10:05

I saw that too....hence my worry.

My coil was checked in March. I keep trying to feel for the strings but i cant, neither can my partner...

My DD was a coil baby...

beingsunny · 09/05/2017 10:19

I got a copper coil fitted in September, found out I was pregnant in march.

Apparently it either wasn't fitted correctly or it moved.

Do they send you for an ultrasound to check the position after fitting?

Sazwest · 09/05/2017 10:30

user1494309229 · 09/05/2017 10:32

@user1494309229 have u any tests at home x x

beingsunny · 09/05/2017 10:45

Take a HPT, I did three in disbelief! All positive, you need to be seen urgently as there is a high risk of ectopic pregnancy which can be dangerous.

See your GP today and they should refer you to the early pregnancy clinic

user1494309229 · 09/05/2017 10:58

Surely its too early to test as ive not actually missed my period yet?

weasledee · 09/05/2017 13:13

Not too early, first response test could pick up a pregnancy before period.
Good luck

minniem0use · 09/05/2017 19:41

I also had a copper coil baby! Only knew when I started to feel sick.
Buy a test!

I had a coil fitted a month ago. It perforated my uterus and I had to have keyhole surgery to have it removed from my abdomen.

My point is, had I not discovered this when I did, I could have been mistakenly relying on it for contraceptionConfused. This isn't common I understand, but I wouldn't rule out pregnancy.
