June Bus - hoping for that elusive BFP

Hi all,
Thought I'd start the June bus as af arrived this morning. Biggest kick in the teeth as my sister baby bombed me on her first cycle this weekend and I am now on cycle 10. Trying for our first too.

Hopefully this will be our months!!!

Hey guys I'm pretty late to the party but I generally always am!

Ttc#1
33
Cd2
Cycle 6 (ahhhhh!)

Just ordered some cheapie OPKs to start getting a bit more scientific with this TTC lark. Getting quite worried about my age too!

Anaconda33 · 24/05/2017 15:22

Can I join?

Age: 34
TTC: First
Cycle 5
Cycle Day 10 (of potentially 47!)

I have subclinical Underactive thread. Need to wait three more months before they will do any hormone tests. I'm concerned I'm not ovulating.

I've done OPKs for 10 months (had to delay TTC due to Zika risk from travel) and never once got a positive. Just ordered a thermometer for this month. Anyone had negative OPKs but positive results from using thermometer?

My cycles are 33-47 days so very difficult to know when I may even be ovulating. DP works abroad a lot so can't DTD every other day and hope for the best - he's trying to plan travel around when I'm "in heat" as he delicately puts it ...

Last cycle was the whopping 47 days - did early pregnancy tests from day 33 - everyone negative - had raging PMT for a week

Impatientmummy36 · 24/05/2017 19:59

Question ladies, is it possible to get pregnant if he's in the pub watching the football? I'm no expert on conception but I'm thinking not.

My 'after work/pre-match-seduction-in-10 mins' plan failed.

Trying not to feel too annoyed!! 😡

BlueeSpottyTiger · 24/05/2017 20:31

Impatient hmmm.. im not sure 😂
I'm a football widdow too, luckily it's his day off and i pounced at 10am.. when dd was playing in her room 😌
I still have no hint of a line on opk. I never ever don't have a faint line no matter where i am in my cycle. I'm worrying i won't ovulate 😣
Welcome New ladies 👋

x

Betsyboo87 · 24/05/2017 21:21

Football widow here too. Fortunately the score is going the right way (for now) so I don't have to deal with any moods.

sallywiththegoodhurr · 24/05/2017 21:42

Just popping in to say hello!
I've been trying to take my mind off of TTC these past few days, currently CD16 of a 35day cycle so due to O in 3-4 days.

Does anyone else have long cycles? It's so frustrating! AF won't be due until around 16DPO.

ladydolly · 24/05/2017 21:44

If you could impatient I would definitely be pregnant by now if you could!

Dillonc93 · 24/05/2017 22:18

Football widow too, however the score went the right way so at least he'll be in a good mood when he eventually gets homeHmm

Not that it'll be any good because I'm in a mood myself. DP mentioned earlier that he doesn't want to know when I get a BFP until I'm 12 weeks?!?!! His reasoning is the miscarriages have been so hard on him (which I can understand) but how the hell does he expect me to keep it to myself for so long, especially as I'll be a nervous wreck - practically kicked him out the door to the pub ..am I being irrational Hmm

ThisTime81 · 24/05/2017 22:41

Oh Dillon how can you possibly keep that to yourself!

MC are hard for everyone but surely there needs to be an element of in it together, he'll know straight away when you get your BfP! Especially if you get sickness etc, I tried to keep DD a secret for a bit but just couldn't in the end - too unusual me not drinking!!

Fx he realises what a special time it is for both of you and shouldn't be letting you have all the worry yourself!

TriJo · 24/05/2017 23:41

Lifelong Man U fan here, I'm chuffed :)

sally 32 day cycle here but I also have a 16 day LP. I ovulated yesterday on CD16.

LilSnooze · 25/05/2017 00:29

Popping in to say hello too.

Facebook obviously clocked the websites I've been visiting as all my freaking suggested ads are baby related. Making me crazy!

Thought I had ovulated early as I kept getting negative OPK's from CD14. Stopped taking them and obviously got ewcm last night!! Angry means I ovulated on CD19, which seems really late to me, I'm a little worried?? We dtd on sun, mon and wed so hoping we caught it but so annoyed and not feeling very hopeful! Now CD20... When's the earliest I should test? No idea with such a weird cycle.

Redelephant18 · 25/05/2017 05:19

Morning, please may I join? I'm finding TTC increasingly difficult to cope with mentally and emotionally (i.e. its making me f-ing crazy!) and I think an outlet would really help. I know we're all in the same boat here!

So my current stats:

Age: 38
Ttc#2
Cycle 5
Cycle day 1

I'm not temping or doing ovulation sticks so far. I'm going to buy conception multi-vitamins tomorrow for myself and my other half and I'm getting him to cut down on caffeine (I did that last month as it was only then that I read about its negative effects on conception- dur!).

I was thinking of buying the Pregnacare vitamins- does anyone know if they're any good? I heard that some brands can mess with your cycles and don't really want that.

Dillonc93 · 25/05/2017 09:20

thistime I know that's what I said. The no wine on the weekend will be a give away 😂😂. I think he's just nervous and he did apologise this morning.

lil mine is doing it too!! Everything from opk's to baby clothes 😫

redelephant I don't take any pre-preg vitamins cause they make me feel like crap, do however take a high dose of folic acid and vit d every day! Hopefully someone who takes them will be along soon!

TriJo · 25/05/2017 09:33

I use Pregnacare (the Before Conception ones) - they're fine, I haven't noticed any effect on my cycle.

Emz01 · 25/05/2017 10:15

@Redelephant18 I used pregnacare pre conception for the first time last cycle. My cycle did slightly extend from 25 to 28 days, I do see this as a good thing as I was having 28 day cycles when I conceived DS. Although not 100% it's the vitamins yet and just could be a coincidence.

Viletta · 25/05/2017 12:26

@Dillonc93 google it????!!! Can't believe gp actually said this! I would insist on an ultrasound around day 21, you would be able to see if ovulation happened and if endometrium is ready for implantation. Good luck! It all can be absolutely normal but better be safe than sorry

KittyKat73 · 25/05/2017 13:28

Hey ladies dropping in for an update!

Althought not much to update on I have super long irregular cycles .

My last cycle was 59 days so i was thinkin on using my CB ovulation sticks from CD20 onwards but now im wondering if thats too early maybe i should wait until CD 27 Hmm im must have ovulated around CD45ish last cycle but usually my cycles get slightly shorter each month.

Stuck between dont want to miss ovulation but dont want to start too early and waste lots of stick

Dillonc93 · 25/05/2017 13:47

@viletta yep actually said to google it! Wasn't my usual GP, but now can't get an appointment to see her for the next three weeks Angry . Do you think if I rang my local epu (attended a recurrent mc clinic there) I could ask for the scan? Or would my gp have to refer me?

Viletta · 25/05/2017 16:55

@Dillonc93 not sure.. I would have though you need a reference, but try to call and see

BlueeSpottyTiger · 25/05/2017 20:26

trijo Manchester united fan here too! Supporting my city 😌
lilsnooze well, anything from 9dpo is prob the earliest i reckon
red welcome 👋🤗
Soooo I'm finally getting a line on my opk at cd13.. i was worried it wouldn't happen atall! This normally starts on cd8.. Xx

Ava1985 · 25/05/2017 20:33

Hi all

Hope everyone is well and enjoying this lovely weather (I'm in the north?!)

Just dropping in although now much to update on still. Cd 14 here and usually ov around cd19 so still a few days to go till hopefully see my positive opk!

Much love ladies x

Anban · 25/05/2017 21:19

Af is indeed early, had some very light spotting today.
Just wondering if I should class today as CD1? Usually on my cycle I have two days of spotting before the flow starts, the spotting os so miniscule that I haven't counted it as the start of the cycle, but I guess I could move where my ov days are.

@redelephant I have folic acid and vit D separately too, then I just rake my refular multivit (I'm a vegetarian so I need the iron). DH also got me a fertility tablet which is all anecdotal herbal stuff- I think he just got it cos it says it increases libido Grin I have been taking it for a week and af is a week early so it could be that? Or it could just be my body responding to my desire to hurry up with my June cycle so we can start trying.

Impatientmummy36 · 25/05/2017 22:51

Red elephant I have been taking pregnacare conception for a while... no negative effects. I take high dha omega 3 supplement with it. Prior to that was taking their wellwoman and I've used their pregnacare pregnancy and breast feeding too in the past, all are similar list of vitamins.

However I did try some additional supplements which I think did make me ovulate a couple of days sooner (could have been coincidence!) they were maca, larginine and evening primrose (only leading up to OV) . They also seemed to help ewcm which was why I tried them... So I guess if someone wanted to shorter a cycle or increase ewcm they could be worth a try. I have stopped them now as it worried me!

NB pregnacare conception does have larginine in but a very small dose, much smaller than I was taking x

BlueeSpottyTiger · 26/05/2017 08:11

anban The Ovia fertily app i use classes cd1 the day you log a period- not spotting. Its up to you though of course!? Smile

ladydolly · 26/05/2017 08:55

Similar question, I use ovuview, I've had 'positive' tests all week, yesterday's was strongest line and today fainter but still positive. So do we think ovulation is today?
