I've realised I'm going to have to buy some pregnancy tests in bulk as i can't resist POAS but I'm confused by the choice? What's the different pink/ blue tests? And what do the acronyms mean? Eg what's a FRER?!

Pink dye tests are reportedly better,

And a FRER is a first respond early result test. Very sensitive Smile

*response not respond! Damn autocorrect

The very sensitive amazon tests (10miu) are no where near as sensitive as a Superdrug early response despite their claims. I've photographic evidence

Thanks ladies, what does the miu strength mean? Something in urine?!

The lower the number the more sensitive the test. So 10 miu will register a positive (evidently - I'm not sure how well the claims on pregnancy tests are regulated) when there is 10 whatevertheyare of hcg in the urine. A less sensitive (e.g. Digital tests) won't register a positive until the hcg level has risen to 25

I bought about 25 from ebay for around £2. Those dippy ones. Worked from about 6 days before my period which surprised me.

Ah that makes more sense now, thanks!

I like the amazon cheapies, both for OPK and pregnancy tests. I haven't had any evaps on them while TTC#2 and I got a really faint squinter, confirmed on a FRER, at 8/9 dpo. I only like to pee on a fiver when I think it's going to show a positive!
