Hycosy then clomid..what to expect

Hi, I have posted this in infertility but not had much response so just wondered if anyone here could help? I am having a hycosy on Friday followed by my 2nd appointment with the fertility clinic the following week. At my 1st appointment they said assuming all came back clear on my hycosy they would look at starting me on clomid. Hubbys SA all fine and my ultrasound scan all fine with no signs of PCOS etc. I have very long irregular cycles and have been TTC now just approaching 18 months.

I am nervous about the hycosy and just wondered if anyone here could share their experiences so I know what to expect and can prepare? It is first thing Friday morning, will I be able to go to work afterwards? Also any information about clomid would be helpful although i know I'll have he opportunity to ask questions about this at my appointment it'd be nice to go in there with some idea of what the process is etc.

TIA

I had hycosy and the procedure itself was fine no pain and very quick

I did have quite bad period pain about 2 hours afterwards and bled a bit for a couple of days, I got in bed with a hot water bottle.

It delayed my ovulation that month by about 6 days

I haven't had clomid but letrozole instead and just got my bfp in second month of tablets

Good luck

It was fine. A bit painful during for me but bearable. Bring a pad in case you bleed. I found it brought my period earlier
