So upset :(
Partner had vasectomy 14 years ago and he had agreed to reversal and even went docs and got costs from doctor with the go ahead whenever he wants. He has now just told me he doesn't want a child as it would change our lives too much. We don't have any together and I can't imagine never having another child.
Just don't know if I can go forever like this. Someone tell me I'm being selfish and talk some sense into me please???!!

You're not being selfish at all. Maybe a little naive though.

Somebody who had a vasectomy is generally fairly sure that they don't want children. He may have said he was open to reversal because he knew how much it meant to you and he loves you bit when it comes to it he's remembered why he had it done in the first place.
Assuming he's not an arsehole he may have hoped you wouldn't end up wanting them etc.
It's going to take a few conversations to resolve but it might make the relationship over if you want drastically different things.
