Probably not, unless you got lucky last month and tested too early? That would be more likely timing.

alittlebitshy · 10/03/2007 21:03

afaik implantation happens about 6dpo so this would be little early...

(correct me if i'm wrong anyone)

themoon66 · 10/03/2007 21:03

I did with both of them. Plus a very over sensitive sense of smell and overwhelming thirst.

fizzbuzz · 10/03/2007 21:15

Yep, I did.

Ds felt sick 5 or 6 days before period due. Though it was due to wonderful catering on an inter city train.

Dd felt very sick 6 days before period due.

Fingers crossed for you

fizzbuzz · 10/03/2007 21:16

Yes, overwhelming sense of smell and extreme tiredness.......

madmary · 10/03/2007 22:45

Definitely not pg last month.....so possibly not this month either...will see next week I suppose - spelling so dodgy in my first post that anything could be possible though! (write=right)

You won't be feeling morning sickness until after implantation has taken place, which is about 7 to 10 dpo. This is because only after implantation do you begin to produce hcg, which is the hormone responsible for nausea and all those lovely other symptoms. 5 dpo is really a little bit too early, so the sickness is probably down to something else.

Wishing you lots of luck though!

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 12/03/2007 13:35

agree with previous poster, 5 dpo is probably a bug.

or could be psychosomatic, you want to be pregnant, you want to have simptoms, therefore you have simptoms, the ttc boards are full of posts such as yours and invariably af arrives right on q.

Thanks all posters, will know soon enough....

Well having had three babies I know I felt decidely differnt this much before the due date. It was like particularly bad PMS...eg felt tired, sick and so on. It could be rising hormones, but I definately felt this way...all three times! I knew I was pregnant way before I culd take the test and each time I was right! I should also point out that each time I started spotting as if I have having a period but then it stopped....and all three of mine are healthy and happy! LOL

Lots of luck and dont listen to those who say its ompossible to feel symptoms this early, it certainly isnt!

Bbabymumma · 19/03/2007 15:40

With my first baby I was hormonal, horrible had slightly nauseas with sore boobs at 17 days into my cycle but I only have a 24 day cycle and sometimes less. I did 3 tests and 2 of them said negative but I just said 'no they're wrong'!?

Am again 17 days into my cycle and am getting the above symptoms on and off but am probably imagining it.

Anyway - let's try to be patient and not waste money on tests! Let us know the news.

Thanks everyone but I'm off to TTC..... that was a learning curve...

I will just say that I tested positive 5 days past ovulation. I didn’t feel sick though, the only reason I tested is because I had been to a wedding and just couldn’t get drunk!! That was what I was like when I was pregnant with my twins too 🤣 I just knew! Mind you I didn’t ever have sickness in that pregnancy so it defo could be a symptom of pregnancy

Cyw2018 · 29/07/2021 19:07

I couldn't stop burping (to the point that it was really quite upsetting) from about a week before my period was due. This turned into nausea at 5 weeks and then hyperemesis.

NICE guidelines are clear that in order to achieve effective management of HG, and therefore hospital avoidance, treatment should be started as early as possible. If you are pregnant and this is the start, be sure to see your GP early and not suffer in silence. Good luck.

I have been feeling very nauseous today 😷 how many dpo has everyone started with symptoms?

I'm sure it's too early for me to even have any symptoms but this nauseous feeling is awful, spent occasions with my head over the toilet today it was that bad, literally feeling like I was about to vomit on numerous occasions 😫
