Coming Off The Mini Pill

Hi all, I've just come off my mini pill after nearly 3 years has I want to start trying to have another child, I've been off the pill just 3 days now and I've had a little spotting and also DTD a fews back, and heard sometimes if your lucky can get pregnant just a few days after you stop so here's hoping...so is there anyone out there just coming off the pill and how long did it take you to conceive??? Any advice would do thanks x

I had a withdrawal bleed a few days later bit then didn't ovulate for almost a month. My first proper cycle was 39 days. I think that's pretty common. It took me 5 months to get pregnant after coming off it last time and only second cycle of trying this time.

*on my second cycle of trying. Not pregnant yet I don't think.

@oysterbabe I've had a little withdrawn bleed and just spotting a little bit when I wipe after I've been to the toilet (sorry tmi) I'm hoping I get my AF sometime this week but not holding my breath lol x

I was very lucky OP. I took my last mini pill , immediately had a four day withdrawal bleed then ovulated about a week later. I fell pregnant that cycle.

Hi lilremz, I was on cerazette and came off mid Feb (12th) had a withdrawal bleed /spotting a few days later and first period on 22nd of March. On first cycle of trying now, ovulated on Cd 21. It can take a while for your body to settle down although absolutely you can become pregnant straight after stopping and before you have a period.
For me it took almost four weeks to ovulate after stopping the pill, and then three weeks in this second cycle, currently 7dpo. This is very similar to when I came off the combined pill 3 years ago to have my ds.

Just to note you won't get a proper period for at least two weeks after stopping, to get a proper period you must ovulate first and then on average a period will arrive 12-16 days AFTER ovulation (everyone is different)

I had a baby last February. I had been on the mini pill for years. I came off it and had a bleed fairly quickly which I wasn't sure if it was a withdrawal bleed or not. Anyway, we started TTC and I fell pregnant the first month of trying.

Hi everyone I'd like to follow with interest too as in a similar position.

I'm 26 and ttc #2. My Ds is almost 6 and I've been on cerazette then cerelle ever since. Never had one spot of blood in them 6 years so I have absolutely no idea about my cycle.

I stopped taking my pill 14 days ago today. I now know I shouldn't of stopped taking pill mid pack but I did. I stopped the pill on day 10 of the pack. Still not spot of blood but i have had all he cramps and mixed discharge...sorry tmi.
I think I'm right in thinking that because of the day I know my son was born and my cycles went right back to normal 28days that I start each new pack on a Tuesday.
Having stopped my pill on the following Thursday, two weeks ago today was Friday which was day 10 of cycle. I'm about 95% positive I ovulated between day 14 and 17 but can't be sure...is this possible?

We dtd on day 15 and the following 2 days I had only what I can describe as snot discharge.
Because I've had not a spot of blood after 14 days is it possible I could of conceived right away?

Just wanted to update everyone...
I got my BFP this morning after coming off the pill in April and getting my first proper period in early June so it's taken 3months I believe to fall pregnant...just hoping all goes well now xxx

So I really need some help I have no idea whats going on, I was on the mini pill for 2 years and was bleeding 3 weeks of a month so made the decision to come off it on the 18th feb this year. I didn’t bleed then until the 23rd march where i bled for 4 days, i have no idea if i ovulated so thought ideally i should come on my next period around 21st-23rd april (not sure how long my cycle is). This take me to yesterday, there was a pink discharge (sorry tmi) that was on and off all day. I have had no pms symptoms at all that i normally have. Today the bleed is heavier but not massively do i class this as period? My brain is fried! Thanks in advance x
