Best pregnancy tests

Which are the best to use?
Am 5 days late and getting a negative on first response, with dd 1 I had no idea I was pregnant and it was picked up at 8 weeks on bloods for something else.
My mum was 13 weeks before a urine test showed positive.
Am I clinging on for no reason or could I just be a late show for positive?

I'm hoping the same... my Temps are still elevated and clear blue still negative. Not due AF skills was thinking to try first response instead or just the boots basic strip tests. Hoping af doesn't show and I just gwt a late positive! Fingers crossed for both of us!!!

I'm in the exact same boat as you - 5 days late and a negative test. I think I got an evap line (think it came after the time period) on a FRER test this morning. So was wondering what else I could use tomorrow morning instead.

I heard pink dye tests were better thn blue, and to avoid the superdrug early tests because they give false positives (evap lines). Have been told the ASDA ones are good, but I don't have an ASDA anywhere near me.

Normally I would say if you are late and getting bfn it's because you aren't pregnant. Hoping usually just prolongs the pain. However, if you have been pregnant before and have got negative tests, you should probably wait a week or so and then test again and go to doctor for bloods if you get a negative. Fingers crossed for you op

Tried a lloyds pharmacy one and an Asda one - still negative
No signs of af atall no cramping atall
But have some ewcm
Got gp on Monday x

I have photo evidence comparing frer, Superdrug early response, amazon ic and clear blue. The Superdrug's picked up pregnancy 2 days before the others and even the clear blue digital was positive before frer had anything beyond a squinty line

@NotWithoutMyMerkin could I see please? I have had BFN's on FRER this morning but BFP's (or evaps) on Lloyds and Superdrug. Posted below. I'm so confused xx Hope the appointment goes well @HollyWollyDooDah

Wow! Thank you! I have a bit of hope then! I'm 11DPO today xx Will re test tomorrow and see. I was convinced the FRER would have shown first. X

It's so frustrating
I've been doing a bit of reading and depending on which first response you get it can take up to 100miu/ml to be positive which is a rediculous amount
The lloyds one says it's 10miu/ml

I'm 7 days late and getting negatives on Superdrug and FRER tests. I had EWCM on Sunday and Monday this week which was unusual for that stage in cycle. Have been feeling a bit crampy and bloated the whole week, no sore boobs which I normally have as part of PMT. Will ring doctor if I get to this time next week and I'm no further forward. My cycles are usually 28 days, I did have a 33 day cycle in Dec but think that was due to taking antibiotics. The only thing I can think might have affected this cycle is that I had a bad cold mid cycle. Fingers crossed for everyone x

@hmyh23 could you have ovulated late?

Maybe! I'm out if so as i didn't see my husband those days as he was away. 🙁

The tests I posted yesterday were evaps! Nothing on any test today and I tried 3!! X

Just to let you know - I was 7 days late and kept getting bfns, got a really really really faint line yesterday then got a very strong bfp today.

I'm pretty sure we didn't even have sex around the right time for this to be possible. We'd been trying for 8 months - 8 months of doing it right, then this…

So, it can happen.

Congrats!! Nice to know it can happen, hopefully it will be resolved either way soon.
