another dumb question re counting cycles

This is a really stupid question. I know the day my period starts is day 1. If my next period starts on day 28 is that a 28 day cycle or a 27 day one. I have been saying 28 days but then it means that day is counted twice IYKWIM. Getting v confused and after 1y tcc thought I needed to get it sorted!!

I think the 28th day would then become day 1 so therefore you would have a 27 day cycle rather than a 28 but not 100% Someone will be along in a minute to put both of us straigh

I agree with furryfox, if you start your period on day 28, then actually that's day 1 and you've had a 27 day cycle. Always count day one as the first day you have full flow IYSWIM not just spotting.

Thanks. It turns out I've been doing it wrong all these years! I'm sure thats not why I'm still not pregnant though
