Hot tubs!

What are people's experiences of using a hot tub while ttc? I've got the chance to go away for a weekend with use of one but I'm wondering if it's true that it reduces chance of conception? And can it cause miscarriage if you're using the hot tub just after you've ovulated? Or would you use one until you'd got that bfp? Thanks!

I just got my BFP on Wednesday and had a Spa Day just over a week before with hot tub, steam room, sauna etc
I didn't stop doing anything in the 2ww, you never know how long it will take to conceive and didn't want to put my life on hold. X

Thanks for your reply, I'd thought the same about now wanting to put life on hold or let ttc take control, but equally I don't want to do anything that might reduce our chances or cause any harm! I conceived the day after I had a spa day so I would say you'll be fine . Go and enjoy yourself .

The only time I wouldn't recommend a hot tub is in the first trimester of pregnancy. This was the advice given whilst I worked in a spa.

Thank you LittleMiss...it's been a long time coming...back together with my high school boyfriend at almost age 39 and expecting baby number 1 for both of us almost 25yrs after first getting together! Lol! 6mths of ttc and we found out the morning we moved into our first home together so it's been a pretty big week!
