Getting Ready For Baby Challenge - Thread 7

We are a bunch of ladies who are either

• humping (TTC)
• by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
• humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

I have no idea what all the abbreviations are haha!

I am 27, getting married in a few weeks and will be trying soon after!

Quite nervous about it as we fell pregnant a couple of years ago and found out it was a blighted ovum at the scan :(

Can't wait to get started though!

Any tips? Is everyone taking vitamins? Xx

Well I'm up before anyone else in my family and found a way to charge my phone (priorities ) despite forgetting an adapter!

Glad I did as well because I just got a call from the home birth team from my local maternity unit and they are coming to my house on the 22nd to book me in. Really exciting although I hope they won't judge my tiny building site house.. well it's a 2 bed large flat... need to finish the decorating and get this bathroom refurb booked argh!!

Tigger, try not to panic, I'm sure it's all perfectly normal. But like others have said, it's definitely not worth stressing all day so give the epu (early pregnancy unit, I guess?) a call. Let us know what they say?

Epu were rubbish, I'm really worried passed some small clots but can't get a scan with them until Monday. Trying to go private.

Oh ffs tigger that is ridiculous, how can they justify not bringing you in straight away! Especially when you are so worried, have you rang your gp, they might be able to advise

I've managed to book a private scan at 7pm tonight guess it's just a waiting game. I'm supposed to be out for afternoon tea with mum and sis for her hen do no idea what to do. There's a chance I could get an earlier appointment at another private hospital

Oh Tigger, keep trying but if not then at least you have a scan for 7pm. Would A&E be an option or would they send you to EPU anyway? X

They'd send me to epu until 4pm. Think I'm just going to have to go on the afternoon tea and grin and bear it until 7

Oh Tigger that's frustrating I know it's much easier said than done, but try to distract yourself from it because stress isn't going to help. Afternoon tea should be nice at least!

I swore I wouldn't symptom spot but I can't help it. I'm 6dpo and my left nipple is really twingey, intermittently, almost feels a bit sore. I'm so just setting myself for disappointment again!!!

Sorry EPU were pants Tigger... i hope everything goes ok with your scan later and its just some random bleeding!... ❤

Mummy nipples were a massive symptom for me and its just so hard to ignore them!!!... you arn't setting yourself up for dissapointment you are just hoping... i read a really good quote on here about women keeping on getting their hopes up just shows how dedicated they are or something... it was really good but baby brain has just completely killed my memory of it! Lol

I was all about the nipples too mummy, fingers crossed :)

It's very light, earlier there were some clots. Just so worried. Heading into London for afternoon tea not told mum or sis don't want to ruin their day

mummy eek - exciting. I see we will be almost testing buddies this month - pretty much I think I am 5dpo but I might only be 3dpo... or some other number

When are you planning on testing orange? I would love to hold out until Thursday but I know this is impossible for me. I have 4 FRERs which I won't touch until at least 10dpo, and some IC. I will probably start on the IC on Sunday if I'm honest.. because 5months of early testing clearly is not enough 😬
Still having the nipple pain/twinges and sorry if this is tmi but I did a cervix check earlier and found a large globule of ewcm but it wasn't clear, white/creamy/weirdness. I've occasionally had a small amount of clear ewcm in the tww and white discharge but not this combination

So exciting orange and mummy feeling so hopeful for you both!
