Getting Ready For Baby Challenge - Thread 7

We are a bunch of ladies who are either

• humping (TTC)
• by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
• humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

I'm about to embark on church-a-thon, which I'm hoping will help me. I've been feeling completely overwhelmed and really struggling. I took my ic yesterday, which was the strongest positive I've had. It really shook me. Going to try again on Monday.

Reflexology sounds interesting tigger, I might have to look into that. Can it be used for any sort of pain/tension in the body?

Checked on another pregnancy test this evening and the arsing thing came up positive. So annoying!!

One of my clients trained in reflexology a few years ago and she asked me to be a case study... 10 sessions over 3 months, total relaxing bliss! I didn't really have any aliments to fix as such but she read enough into me from my feet to make me think it's a 'real' thing!!

Sorry you're struggling dancing really hope your church-a-thon helps heal & take your mind off things. Rubbish about the BFP, & tigger Hope you reset soon x

tigger hope the hormones will settle soon and all will be back to normal again soon. Glad you enjoyed the reflexology. I found it quite relaxing and really enjoyed it.

We've had a nice day out, lots of walking and eating and relaxing. Can't wait to crack my Easter egg tomorrow! Diet starts again next week.

Today is our first anniversary so we had a lovely evening out and are staying away with relatives for a few days, Internet connection is very dodgy so I may not be able to post much for a a few days, but will try check in when technology plays ball.

buzz the garden is gorgeous! Not sure how I've managed to be so patient. Booking in should have been this week but because of the bank holiday I'll be 9+3 before it happens. I won't be so patient if they can't offer me a scan until after 14 weeks. Mainly because I don't want to miss out of the nuchal combined test (not sure how much that would cost privately!)

buzz a booking anywhere between 6-12weeks is normal so 9+3 is perfect timing. It should not affect when you have your Nuchal scan which should be done between 11-13+6weeks for most accurate results.

Really glad you're feeling a bit better about life today mummy and it will happen for you. You are far from a shit friend, you're allowed to feel all those things and she would totally understand if she knew. Thank you for the reassurance about the booking in and scan (think that last paragraph was meant for me!) My worry has been that I know people that haven't been offered their scan until 14+ weeks which must impact on the accuracy of the nuchal test. I'll just have to wait and see and stop worrying before I've even been given a date. I think because I ovulated so early that month I'm actually a couple of days ahead in my pregnancy than the calculators say but don't think that is taken into account at booking in? Seriously need to let you lovely midwives do your job don't I!

Mummy it is completely understandable that you are upset for you. Not a shit friend at all!! Hopefully this month, with the holiday and all the good stuff, will be your month, and then you guys can be pregnant together!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I know things will get better, and so far seem a little brighter this morning. Will be out all day, so I'll be brave facing it, at the very least!

Glad the worst of AB emotions are over Mummy, i'm sure any of us would have identical thoughts to you re. Your friend if we were in your position. You'd have to be one hell of a saint not to!!

Not having cramps jupiter HWB is for my back mainly, which usually has low level soreness but has ramped up (damn standing up job!) also, because I'm ALWAYS so cold! My sis said she was so warm when preggo but i suppose the baby has to be a bit bigger for that! Roll on being warm. Don't worry about your scan until there's something to worry about! I'm sure you can express your concerns to your midwife at the appointment, we've got to assume they've got it covered tho! Good luck with your announcement today (?)

Thanks Hb you're absolutely right! Pregnancy making me worry much more about things in anticipation... your poor back! I'm so hot at night have had a fan on all night for last three weeks. It effects us also differently doesn't it. Yup we're telling my parents today, can't wait.

Happy easter guys (where do I find the little rabbit?) [easter] ?

The whole extended family aren't arriving till lunchtime today so last night it was just FIL MIL SIL BIL DH DD DH's friend, DH stepdad, me + MIL's sister. So at dinner last night DH said we had some news and everyone went really quiet & it took me ages to actually blurt out "I'm pregnant"!
Everyone wooped and cheered and MIL cried she was so happy! Really brilliant reaction. MIL immediately said she's retiring to come and babysit! She also kept saying to me "we are going to look after you" ♥️

DH said he didn't want to put pressure on me to tell them but it was one of the rare occasions we would see both his parents together (they are divorced but friendly and tend to spend Xmas together which is nice!)
So we will tell my mum tomorrow night when we get back to London. She's really struggling since her mum died so I hope it will be something nice for her.

We've been given today off so going to recharge the batteries a little as we've been running around like mad ones the last few weeks with visitors. We've decided to sod that partner and stick to our plans. Not putting my life on hold for work!

Dancing and Tigger my bfn came about 19 days after erpc. It is so hard to see that bfp still isn't it. It will come.
Tigger your reflexology has spurred me to book in and have a session. I had one whilst ttc and it was completely blissful. I would definitely recommend it to those who are thinking about it!
