New to mumsnet but ttc with older man!!!

Hello to everyone,
I am new to mumsnet so I'm afraid it will take my a while to figure out your abbreviations and get the hang of all this so please bear with me!!!
I am 25 and ttc with my hubby aged 43. I came off the pill in Oct and have been ttc since with no joy. Any advice? Trying not to get obsessive about it but can't resist the tests each month!!! Wondering whether it is harder to conceive with an older man???
Hope to find some friends to talk about this with so any feedback welcome!!

My dh is 54 ...I am 34...we managed it 2.7 years ago.
So there is hope!!!

No advice, but you've only been trying for 4/5mths so I'd be a bit more patient...If you get stressed about it that won't help.

Are you doing ovulation testing?

IME it can take ages to conceive after taking the pill ( although I do know someone who conceived whilst taking it

I am 31 and dh is 43 I am pregnant with dc3, we already have ds7 and dd3! Took us 9 months to conceive dd but fairly quick with the other two, unfortunately the ttc game is a bit hit and miss.

i'm 23 and my partner is 37, we did get there but mc at 13 weeks, it took us over a year from when i came off the pill to get pg.
so there is hope

it can take a good while for your body to adjust coming off the pill

I have managed to get pregnant by my older man 3 times

I don't think it makes much difference. Dh had 3 kids already and we have a further 2 with a combined age of nearly 100. I don't think we will have any more although sometimes I think it would be nice. We would both be SO OLD!!!

Dh will be 49 next month and I am 11 weeks pregnant. 43 really isn't that old for a man to conceive - plenty have done it in their 60's!!

Welcome to MN.

My DH is 13.5 years older than me and we conceived with no problems. TBH, I think age is more of a concern to female fertility than male.
