Holy Hell! Anyone got pregnant with a copper coil fitted?

Just that really, I had my copper coil fitted in September last year, my period is almost a week late so I tested tonight using a clear blue digit and got 1-2 weeks pregnant

Obviously not planned hence the coil, has this happened to anyone?

No but u need to make an appointment asap as your docs then will book u In for a scan to see where your coil is: it possibly could have fallen out or just moved x

It does happen. As a midwife, I have found more than one in a placenta.

Yes, it happened to me about 3 months after I had one fitted.
I had the coil taken out asap.
