I've done 3 tests over the weekend (2 Superdrug ones and one chepy Ebay one) and all came up with a faint positive- very faint but definitely there iyswim. I did a Superdrug one this morning and again got a faint line but decided to do a Clearblue digital as well and it said NOT PREGNANT. HAven't a clue what's going on and any advice would be much appreciated.

I would have thought that the expensive digital test would be most accurate, which means that I'm not pg .

Think I should probably wait another week then test again but in the meantime I'm going crazy and if anybody has a similar story (good or bad) I'd love to know.

(I'm on CD 38, which is a bit longer than normal but cycles are normally irregular; however, i did the test because I had lots of symptoms of pregnancy, not purely because I was late!)

A positive is a postive, I'd say you were pregnant! Fingers crossed for you, try to be patient for a few days then try again.

Same happened here (I'm 37 wks btw)

plenty of faint but obvious + with ebay tests
CB never tested + until 3 days after period was due and I never got a + on a digital!
Buy lots of ebay tests, so you can test your little heart out without breaking the bank
And at teh risk of sounding cliched. If you are preggers, it'll soon be obvious
Good luck hope you get the result you want x

clear blue digital are far less sensitive than normal tests

id say you are def pregnant

Hayls · 05/03/2007 13:58

Piffle, I've already done that . Have just run out though and am trying to resist buying any more. My stomach is v bloated and have gone up a cup size already so I did suspect I was but I don't want to get too excited in case I'm not really pg or if I mc again

Clearblue digital are meant to be really sensitive so why a BFN if I am pg? [confused emoticon]

ebay tests are usually about 10-25mui

and clearblue are 25mui

clearblue digital are 50mui

so it takes twice as long for pregnancy to show than a cheap ebay test - if i remember correctly from my TTC days x

How annoying! A positive is a positive, even if it's faint.

Do another one when you're a few days overdue your period, to check the result.

HeyBert · 05/03/2007 14:03

ty with the other digital stick first thing tomorrow (pre-wee) - bet it'll be positive

kittylette · 05/03/2007 14:03

here

the lower the number the better the test - clearblue digital is 50 so one of the less sensitive tests

Hayls · 05/03/2007 14:13

Thanks Kittylette. That makes NO sense, they claim to be more sensitive and can be used 4 days before period yet are less sensitive than 'normal' ones. Cheers for link.

Will remain sceptical for now and test at weekend if I can wait that long!

Sorry Kittylette, didn't mean that to sound like you were making no sense! Meant that the whole thing is silly, not you for suggesting it I am a bit sensitive, hope you didn't think that was what I meant

Any news? I'd say no matter how faint the line, it#s a positive pregnancy test result, considering you've done more than one I'd say it was pretty definate. I did 7!!!! First one was SOOOOOOOOOO faint it drove me insane. It's annoying that ClearBlue advertise their digital test as being so accurate and early etc, what a rip-off! Good luck
