Hey guys can u help I'm so confused I got a positive pregnancy test on Sunday 🙂.
Left it till today and did a cbd and it was negative 😞 (AF not due till Friday ) Out of curiosity I did an ovulation stick to see if it picked anything up and it has not much but it has.
Can they pick up early pregnancy does anyone know please as I'm not due my period till Friday.
I'm So confused x

I always have a faint 2nd line on Ovulation sticks as do many women so I definitely wouldn't count that as anything.
If I remember correctly you're not due AF until late this week Saz so probably testing far too early for a CB Digital test. Try and pick up a Frer so you can find out for definite which should stop you worrying. Fingers crossed for you x

CBD never pick up pregnancy for me until the day after my period is due.

If your not due until Friday and you used a sensitive test you will not have enough HCG in your system for anything other than a first response type test.

Takes between two and three days for the HCG to double.

And ovulation sticks are for ovulation not pregnancy it is different hormones, although some women find they stay showing a high result if they continue to use them. But they are not pregnancy tests.

I'm just confused coz one test says one and another days another: I googled it and some woman are staying they have used ovulation sticks to pick up pregnancy. It's just weird that after I ovulated they picked up nothing just the 1 line and today out of curiosity I did it and it came up with 10 seconds xx

I mean when i used them when I knew I was ovulating it picked up nothing ( had to use cbd ovulater) and it's now picking up something xx

I get a second line on an OPK almost every day of my cycle so I don't think you can put too much on that.

However, as everyone else says, it is still really early for a BFP to show up, so it's definitely not over for you. CBD are not sensitive at all and I think it's quite normal not to get a positive using one until AF is late.

Unfortunately, you just need to be a bit more patient (it's hard, I know) and fingers crossed you get a BFP in a few days that can't be debated.

The OPKs are not positive. To be used, unreliable, as a HPT they would need to be positive - a very strong test line (dark or darker than the control line). So they don't indicate anything right now.

I know it's hard but do try I wait until 12dpo at the very earliest! It the day of your missed period.

I know it's annoying coz I've already had one on Sunday so thought I would leave it a few days to see if it come up and the cbd was negative. The pic below is Sunday's test xx

Sunday's test does look positive but the line is in the wrong place. It could be an evap.

I think the line on Sunday's test looks odd, it's very thin, a positive would usually be the same width as the control line.

Why on earth don't you just wait until your period is due, you seem to have been testing obsessively for over a week now. There is very little benefit to testing early, apart from pissing money down the drain and driving yourself mad!

I really hope this isn't the case for you, but I don't think those CB (non-digi) are very reliable. I had a line like that on one last month at around 10dpo and AF arrived pretty much on time a few days later. I think it was either an evap (even thought it developed within the time frame), a crappy test, or a chemical. When I goggled it, I found lots of similar experiences.

If you really want to test early (i.e. before AF is due) I would use a FRER tomorrow morning with FMU.

In the pic it looks thin but In person it's thick like it should be: suppose I'm best to wait until AF is due see if it comes if not will go from there x

Sorry saz but I'm not sure about your CBD test either, it does look odd! I wouldn't use blue dye tests anyway. You're better off with the pinks ones. It also looks very strong for only 10dpo as well. You really need to wait a few days and test again. Although I'm sure we will see another thread tomorrow Smile
