Ok so I'm having a rough time conceiving
Long story short I'm 4 days late! Taken 3 tests (cheap strips) all been negative! I had sex the day after I ovulated (10 days ago) my last period was the 30th of Jan!
I've not had my usual period type cramps days before I've had pinching type pains and aches,I'm tired, feel sick more than usual, when I lie on my tummy my boobs ache! I don't feel like I'm going to start my period! I'm losing the will to live! Can anybody help?

Op - you're 4 days late but ovulated 10-11 days ago? So is your LP only usually 6 - 7 days??

haveacupoftea · 03/03/2017 19:33

10dpo is too early for ICs to show anything.

Pitchforktotheface · 03/03/2017 19:39

Are you counting right? Are your cycles only 20 days normally?

Hotpinkangel19 · 03/03/2017 19:40

I got a faint bfp at 8dpo, it can happen

EllisB93 · 03/03/2017 19:53

I have an app on my phone telling me when my periods due,I did the test last Tuesday (21st Feb)
Completely lost hope 😔

HELP!

My body is clearly screwed up
I had the depo last August (only had 1 that year!) didn't have it when I was due it end of November but as I've ovulated does this mean it's out of my system? Even when I had the depo my periods have been bang on time every month! It was only the beginning of Feb I've started taking ovulation tests

I personally would not rely on phone app for when period is due. I would go by your ovulation tests. So when you get a positive test you will normally ovulate 12-36 hours later, let's just say the next day to make it simpler. So you got a positive test on 21St so most likely ovulated on the 22nd. Period usually arrives 14 days after ovulation so going by that it would be due to arrive on the 8th of March. Today is only 9 days post ovulation for you, wait until next week and test again.
When you come off hormonal contraception it can take a while for periods to settle down into a regular cycle length, until that happens you can't really rely on apps to predict when it will arrive.

Hope I haven't confused matters, good luck for testing next week!!

EllisB93 · 04/03/2017 00:04

Ahhhhh so this is where I'm going wrong! I only downloaded it as my gp recommended it to me as it's one she uses! So my chances of being pregnant are nil?!
I start using my own calendar from now on Thankyou so much

Emma2803 · 04/03/2017 07:21

I wouldn't say they were nil I would say it's too early to test. I would wait til wed or Thursday and test again. I think until you were getting fairly regular periods best to rely on ovulation tests cervical mucous or temperature

EllisB93 · 04/03/2017 08:27

I've done a test this morning and it was definitely negative! I don't hold much hope tbh I think I'll start my period next week unfortunately

Emma2803 · 04/03/2017 08:51

Honestly if you only ovulated last week it's way to early to test. I got a negative at 9days post ovulation and then missed my period and got my positive and now have a two year old. Stay positive, there is no way of knowing your out til period arrives.

countingdown2gin · 04/03/2017 10:18

Apps are good to help you track but it needs a good few months of data to be accurate imo as every person is completely different.

Take some time learning your body, learn when you ovulate and the signs and symptoms of you get any, that will help you to understand when your period is due and how long each of your stages of cycle should be. Put it all in your app and it should adapt dates to your cycle.

EllisB93 · 04/03/2017 12:41

Ahhh I see! I'm going to start using my calendar on my phone to track everything now think it'll be easier and make more sense for me
Thankyou for all your help x

@EllisB93 I'd say that's positive xx

countingdown2gin · 05/03/2017 14:20

Could be a positive! But I would get one that isn't blue dye as they can be a bit hard to look at.

EllisB93 · 05/03/2017 14:27

Which are best to buy? That one was a clear blue xx

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 05/03/2017 14:48

EllisB93 · 05/03/2017 17:17

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 05/03/2017 18:05

A First Response Early Response. They are the best ones I reckon

EllisB93 · 05/03/2017 18:19

Ah ok awesome Thankyou! I have another box of 2 clear blue in the cupboard also
I'm starting to think I'm not pregnant now as the pink dyes have all been solid negatives and read about the blue dye ones not being accurate 😔 feeling heartbroken ATM

OP posts:
Hotpinkangel19 · 05/03/2017 19:24

Have you retested? The last one looked promising xx good luck x

EllisB93 · 05/03/2017 20:58

I did but I use a cheap £1 strip test (pink/red dye) and that was a strong negative 😭 xx
