Rainbow you don't have to face the TTC journey alone, we're all here for your support!

I am sooooooooooooooooo soooooooooo tempted to POAS because BFP is due tomorrow. Even though BFN yesterday. I only have one FRER left and I am not going to be peeing on a fiver. But I am holding out until Wednesday, as that would be 13DPO. Get thee behind me, AF!

sarahboro1 · 05/03/2017 13:40

Oh no Salem I've just worked out my next bfp date but leave it off until next week, I've got a while to wait yet!! - 30th March. Xx

CakesALot · 05/03/2017 13:42

Hi rainbow and amanda. Welcome aboard, this crew are fab!!

dolly and moo, just look at those fabulous bfps!! Awesome! Brings a tear to my eye! Please do stay put. There are a few of us here TTC #2 (or more?) so ask away if you have any questions. Those early days are such a mix of extreme highs but also worries. Totally normal!

Love our NT membership. Great when it was just the two of us and now doing the rounds with a small one makes us see it in a whole new way. However, the rain is stinking heavy here so plans have been abandoned. DH has taken DD swimming instead and I'm getting some work done that I was meant to have finished on Friday 😬😬

Moo31 · 05/03/2017 13:54

Oh dear cakes but at least you're getting a bit of piece and quiet! :) Thank you - my questions were 1. When should I contact my Dr? 2. Are cramps / shooting pains / twinges normal? I think the answers are 1. ASAP. 2. Yes??

Salem thanks for doing the bus!

Rainbow and Amanda - welcome on board the pma bus destination bfp toot toot!! :)

Salem - step away from the frer! (Says me - pot, kettle, black!) Your patience will be rewarded! :)

Moo31 · 05/03/2017 13:54

*peace!

Dollydaydream2829 · 05/03/2017 13:54

Look at our list growing! Lots of folk due their BFPs this week - FX to all!! Any abnormal symptoms?
Oh FX for you salem - hold off and do your FMU tomorrow! It'll give a more accurate result. says me who POAS on CD12
Aw thanks cakes - that's the one thing that intrigues me about the antenatal groups, like moo I will prob have a good few questions with this being my first but it's amazing that I can annoy ask you mums questions!

Rainbowsockstoday · 05/03/2017 14:11

Moo 1. Do it asap for a booking in appointment with a midwife. 2. Slight twinges and pulling feelings are perfectly normal as the baby is still attached to you in the lining of the womb so they tend to keep on till the cord starts. Bleeding is sometimes normal but if it's only a tiny few spots.

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/03/2017 14:21

cakes Which has been your most favourite NT place to visit?
Eeeeew, so sorry sarah, would you like me to repost it for you?
Dolly 12DPO is a fine time to test, isn't it?!
Moo It is as if the FRER is calling to me! RIDICULOUS!!

Charley2016 · 05/03/2017 14:23

Eek I'm with you Salem! Slyly bought a FRER today and accidental picked up a single instead of a double pack. I'm not due until tue/wed but I w just read the leaflet and it says 99% accurate up to 4 days before so I'm tempted.,. Plus dh is home so would be much nicer! He wants be to just wait for af as he think I'll get upset, but I always do anyway. Feel like I'm setting myself up for another fall regardless. Thanks for the list too!

Dolly and Moo excited to hear about your pregnancy symptoms when they start! Has it sunk in any yet?

CakesALot · 05/03/2017 14:42

Yes moo see the doctor as soon as you like. You'll probably get your booking in appointment when you're about 8 weeks so worth getting in there early. Twinges and cramps mega normal, like rainbow said. As is spotting which is worrying, and still let the doctor know, but it's probably fine. Like I think I've said before, I had three substantial bleeds when preggers with DD and all was fine!! Did get an early scan though which was nice!

salem that's a toughy!! I'm a bit restricted to the midlands as haven't been to too many too far from home but I love belton house for it's amazing grounds and hardwick hall for its oldness-big fan of Tudor history! Little Morton hall is pretty fab too. And Calke abbey as its full of random stuff that was left when NT inherited (no I'm not on commission!)

I haven't peed on anything for a couple of days, keep drinking too much and messing up timings to do opks, useless!! Sticking to the dtd every other plan though and hoping for the best. You guys need to keep up the poas-ing on my behalf though!! Those frer drive you bonkers don't they?!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/03/2017 14:42

Charley How many DPO are you?! I thought that yesterday at 9DPO, but was wrong! My thinking was that I could always buy more poas Blush... I am still tempted to test now!

CakesALot · 05/03/2017 14:45

Should've said, the twinges are most likely to be ligaments pulling and stretching readying your womb for growth 😍 and dolly don't worry about a lack of symptoms, you may be one of those lucky women that breeze through pregnancy without throwing up once ! They do exist!

Rainbowsockstoday · 05/03/2017 14:55

I have many questions... if people could answer I'd be soooooo grateful.

1: pineapple - does this really work? If so how much a day do you think? A litre bottle is six pineapples juiced so maybe 250ml a day or do we think more?

2: kiwi- one a day or two?

3: opk tests - when do people do them? I read online you have to do them in the afternoon but leave your sample for at least 20mins before dipping because it works at room temp and not body temp.

4: DTD - every day or every other day?

5: red clover - worth it to increase CM?

6: agnus castus - worth it for regulating hormones?

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/03/2017 15:08

Rainbows

  1. Hippy can answer that one, she is good with her scientific knowledge (especially pineapples).
  2. Not sure. See above response!
  3. Start around CD9/10 until you get a positive. I use both cheapies and Clear Blue Dual Hormone Digital tests. I would recommend both.
  4. Every other day. Follow the Sperm Meets Egg Plan which is; starting from CD8, dtd every other day until your positive OPK. Once your OPK is positive, dtd every day for 3 days, miss a day and do one more for luck. I have never left my pee for 20 mins to cool, I would not have the patience!!
  5. Not sure, but I have heard that congestion medicine drys CM up. I have heard people recommend using 'Pre-Seed' to support CM/conception as it mimics EWCM.
  6. I have not heard very good things about Agnus Castus.
Rainbowsockstoday · 05/03/2017 15:16

Thank you Salem. What bad things have you heard about agnus castus? A girl in my bf group on Facebook said it's really good and there was a few people agree. Worried now as I was going to give it a crack this month 😬

sarahboro1 · 05/03/2017 15:18

No no Salem!!! Leave it until next week's list!!! Xx

Charley2016 · 05/03/2017 15:27

Salem I'm 10dpo today and of course just used my FRER Blush haven't drunk much and held my wee for 4 hours but still got bfn. Are you trying to hold out for tomorrow?

Rainbowsockstoday · 05/03/2017 15:51

Sorry me again. I did an opk today as a practice and so I have a full month and can see if there's a trend. Does it always have two lines on it? One really faint and one strong? I'm on CD1 and this is today's...
