Flowers for you Marie

Keeping fx for twisted

MistyBxx · 06/03/2017 14:06

Hey girlies!

Oh marie gutted for you chick 😩 but this is only cycle 1, now you know the drill, you can nail it next time!!.🙌🏼😊

Ttcnovice... give it a couple more days! I got bfp on cd31 16dpo (hadn't poas at all before that though)

Twisted... what the hell 🙈 it's true some people don't ever get a hpt bfp! My colleague never did! She had to beg doc for blood test! Doc time maybe?

Hope you're all doing good!
I can't bear to leave here yet lol I don't know if mrsjkerry or charl have joined a new thread but I can't find them and people on the bfp boards seem a little frosty lol 😂 nobody is really talking to me haha. So I may just hover around here to keep an eye on you lovely lot and then just drift off MN all together. But not til I've seen more bfps on here!!🙌🏼

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 17:55

Yes Misty definitely hang around! You might bring us some luck Grin

Clacton · 06/03/2017 18:15

Hi all

A lot has happened since I last looked in!
Really happy to see some more positives!

Could anyone help me with when I should test? I haven't had a period for 3 years as been on implant. Had implant removed on the 14th. Ovulated either 16th or 17th and not had a bleed since. I have had all the pg symptoms, which could of course be AF symptoms! Tested last week with a broken test and then the day after and got a negative.
When should my period be due? Or can you not tell from ovulation date?
I'm annoying myself with keep thinking about it, which is why I've tried to stay away from this page - but still thinking about babies ha ha!

Flatwhite31 · 06/03/2017 18:43

Hi everyone, as stated in a previous post, I have just come off the pill to TTC after over 11 years on the pill. My withdrawal bleed started today. Does anyone know when to expect my first proper period? Does it take ages? Or is everyone different? Thank you lovely ladies! PS - loving how nice and supportive this thread is! Everyone is so lovely!

charl19 · 06/03/2017 18:43

Nope I'm still here misty! Got my fingers crossed for some more bfp's too... not sure what the next step is from here either really? I'm a little bit aphrehensive as it's early days so feel really nervous- don't want to get too ahead of myself if you know what I mean!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

charl19 · 06/03/2017 18:46

Sorry I'm terrible at replying to people personally because I always forget everyone's usernames 😂 think I need to start screenshotting lmao!!

But I defo second that everyone on here is so friendly - is what sucked me into it!! ☺️☺️

mrsjkerry · 06/03/2017 19:04

Misty I haven't gone yet! Have tentatively looked at the new boards but you're right - they're not as friendly!!! Which one did you post on? I could join too...

Flat white I too had a normal withdrawal bleed. Immediately after this My periods returned to normal after a 38 day cycle.

I went to the doctor today and they were spectacularly unhelpful. Said they don't get involved and I should self refer myself to the maternity unit of my closest hospital. Gee thanks!

Polly85 · 06/03/2017 19:57

Hi @Flatwhite31 Smile I had my first non pill period 30 days after my last withdrawal bleed. My cycles have averaged out at 38 days so far, long but fairly regular x

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 20:06

Clacton it's usually anywhere between 10 and 16 days after you ovulate, depending on your own personal luteal phase. I'd say that means you should definitely be within (if not past) testing stage now! Good luck!

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 20:07

Glad to see you're both sticking around too Mrsj and charl Smile how are you both feeling? Any new symptoms?

Strange about your GP Mrsj! I always thought that's the first thing you do when you get a BFP, have an app at the docs then get referred to the midwife!

Flatwhite31 · 06/03/2017 20:27

Thanks everyone! I'm dreading getting my first proper period in years, even though I know it's necessary! My periods were dreadful pre-pill. They were really painful, and I ended up anaemic for a while. I'm also worrying about my skin erupting in bad spots.

Marie90 · 06/03/2017 21:32

Thanks Ttcnovice, Pibbee, HoldTight, MistyBxx (and anyone I've missed)! It's nice to be able to share the highs and lows with everyone who's going through the same thing! I had a bit of a downer of a day but I'm picking myself back up and researching OPKs 😂 (may as well get on board with those for C2)! Anyone know the best place to get reliable ones which aren't too expensive?!

Also, it's so nice to hear you're still hanging around MistyBxx, mrsjkerry and Charl... Make sure you let us know if you find/start up a friendly BFP post! You can guarantee we'll all move to it when we get our BFPs!!

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 21:34

Misty & Charl & MrsJ you have to stay!! Or start your own thread as a graduate one so we can all lurk until we can join you!!

I now have very minimal dark brown spotting, but only on wiping and not every time, not enough for a tampon/pad (TMI sorry). AF is not usually a slow starter for me but I suspect AF might now be imminent.

I haven't told DH yet just in case but trying to stay calm & keep my fx!

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 21:35

My post crossed with Marie and I second everything she said. This is the friendliest thread I've come across on mn.

MistyBxx · 06/03/2017 21:35

I'm the same mrsj phoned docs today who said to phone the midwife in the local maternity unit, she was lovely but said to wait until I'm 6 weeks before even booking an appointment. Which I've found scary as if they don't even see me as a "viable" pregnancy yet! In the same way I've been wrong thinking unprotected sex is all you need to do to get pregnant, turns out bfp doesn't automatically mean baby either 😳 delicate times girlies.
But if you or charl fancy checking out the boards, I'm on EDD early November board in the ante natal clubs (they're kinda like the buses I think but not quite as friendly lol)

clacton I'd defo test with a decent test now! I ovulated 16th/17th too and bfp Saturday just gone. Fingers crossed chick!

flatwhite my periods were bad pre-pill, never regular and very painful but after the withdrawal bleed, I came on again like clockwork 28 days later as if I was still on the pill but my second cycle off was a random 38 dayer (I think it's coz I took pregnacare conception... it threw off my cycle! Loads of reviews say the same!) but since then I've been clockwork 28-31 days, more painful than when on the pill and whereas sore boobs and cramps would happen a day or 2 before a nice little 3-day period, since I've settled post-pill, I'm cramping and terrible boob-ache from about 5dpo!
Hence why I've thought I've been pg about 5 times since stopping pill, not used to all the "new" symptoms! But luckily the cycles have been really regular so hopefully same case for you!

Kitcaty · 06/03/2017 21:38

Flatwhite, I came off the pill after 11 years, had withdrawal bleed after 28 days and then my cycles have been 31, 33 and the last one 42 days which had me convinced I was pg! Before I started the pill I had very painful and heavy periods but since coming off they have been fine apart from the last one.
Just taken my first folic acid today with the hope that this will help the egg stick, as this seems to have helped other peple anr is in about a week.

I don't think that those of you who got BFP should leave us! I personally think it would be nice to hear how you are getting on and we can get tips of what to expect in the early days as no one really talks about it x

MistyBxx · 06/03/2017 21:38

We could actually start our own mrsj charl 😂

Kitcaty · 06/03/2017 21:40

And Marie :( that sucks, my last AF was also late and it's so horrible when it starts and you really thought you might be pg.
I'm also thinking of starting OPKs so let me me know what you find

Marie90 · 06/03/2017 21:43

Do it MistyBxx , mrsjkerry and Charl 😂

And I will kitcaty ... I've been looking on Amazon/ eBay which all do packs of about 30 for pretty cheap but I've got no idea if they are decent or not!!

mrsjkerry · 06/03/2017 21:53

I'll make one tomorrow!

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 23:52

AF is here so I'm out. On to cycle 5!!

Fx for everyone else though & hope to see more BFPs xx

Clacton · 07/03/2017 06:36

Morning all

Guessing I'm out too as BFN again but no sign of AF yet.
I feel like a proper fool for believing I was 😭

Marie and Twisted I'll be here too for next cycle so fx for an easy AF n then we can get cracking again!

Misty that's awful! I thought the doctors were supposed to help first n then transfer you on and I imagined a lot of doctors smiling n saying congratulations all the time 😂

Marie90 · 07/03/2017 07:22

Sorry to hear it twisted Flowers

And Clacton Fx you don't get AF... You never know until she's here! (And I felt like a fool too for thinking I was seeing symptoms... Our brains get so excited)!

Pibbee · 07/03/2017 07:53

Boooo to that AF twisted!

Clacton you never know! Waiting game is pretty hideous isn't it....mine isn't due to the weekend or even shortly after. Totally expecting it to rock up. But have got a really busy week this week as am out every night (!)and then away this weekend wooohoo!

MrsJ I had no idea about the doctor thing! I'd totally thought you were meant to go to your gp for a blood test, I'd have done the same as you!

Happy Baby Dust Tuesday to all!
