Missed depo

Was due my depo injection on the 3rd but totally forgot about it. I had unprotected sex with my partner on 12th. Am I still covered? Can't get an appointment for a couple days. Pretty worried

I would say you're probably ok and that there's a very low chance of conceiving xx

Protected as long as within 14 weeks from your last injection.

When I was on the depo a few years ago it took a year for my period to return and I never got pregnant in all of those months. Not advising you to take any more chances but I think you should be ok. You could always go to the pharmacy in the morning and get the morning after pill if you're worried?! You have 48 hours I think xx

Phew!! Last week was 12/13 weeks from last injection if I can remember correctly

You have up to 120 hours to take emergency contraception but as long as you are within 14 weeks of your last depo you won't need it and can have your repeat injection without problem. Lots of contraception services have walk in and wait appointments. If you can't get an appointment to go by week 14 then abstain or strict condom use.

Okay. Yes that is what I'm going to do in the morning after school run. Would have been today but I've 2 sick kids at home.. No won't be taking anymore chances :) xx

You're fine till 14 weeks. If you won't be able to get to GP until after that then use extra protection or don't have sex from now until you get depot.

Right okay. Thank you :) Im going to see if I can get injection within couple days. Where I live its pretty hard to see someone unless you have booked weeks in advance

I've been on the depo Injection since last year. I was due my injection last Monday (15th May 2017) since then myself and my partner have had sex. I've now started to bleed rather heavy and have been getting slight cramps. Is their a chance I could be pregnant?
